  1. Anyone watching Live Mix? It's different.
  2. Yep.
  3. They actually do make glasses for fishing: https://www.mauijim.com/US/en_US/polarized-sunglasses/fishing
  4. This rod will do both, and I believe they are on clearance. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/mat-daddy-helios-review.html
  5. Do you want to throw swimbaits or jigs?
  6. A word of warning about suction cup mounts. They inevitably fail. I know from experience.
  7. It sounds illegal. From the DNR guide:
  8. Bed fishing is fun, and I love i t, but soap? Really? It's up there with those dunce cap looking viewers. Looks like they're fishing for rat males.
  9. Michelle and were talking about mean drivers. Seems like rush hour on 590 is pretty nice, considering it's stop and go. Head out to 104 in Webster, and it's another story. Then, 104 west in Greece, it goes back to friendly. I'm sure it's demographics, but once you are east of Five Mile Rd, it gets UGLY any time of day. None of it compares to driving around Manhattan.
  10. The Millionaire basic design has been around in some shape or form in Daiwa's lineup for decades. It's a tank. Perfect first time big bait reel.
  11. I just take a small graph, mount it to a hard lunch cooler, put a 7ah batter inside, run the wires through the top. I screw the transducer to a piece of 1x3, and C-clamp it to the transom. This works great for rentals, and you can get a better graph with GPS.
  12. Soon.
  13. We're thawed, though it snowed and hailed yesterday. Looking forward to those 70s forecasted.

Put it in demo mode, and work through all the features and settings in the manual. From there, explore YouTube as mentioned above.
  15. I have black chrome mirror dark grey Maui Jims for that.
  16. From my mother: "We're all stuck here together, and no one gets out alive, so try and be nice, or I'll cut you."
  17. A Pointer 100 or Staysee 90 in Aurora Black are still my favorites.
  18. The world is full of stupid people, and I just might be one of them.
  19. I'd want the bigger graph at the bow, where viewing distance is greater. Otherwise, that's what I run, but SI on both.
  20. NY won't pay for trash cans, so people just dump their crap at the ramp. I always carry a trash bag, and pick up when I leave. It's common practice for many anglers that use the ramp. Most of the junk comes from shore anglers and kids partying at night. Good and scratched up!
  21. We have them at every state owned launch. They're often filled and surrounded by litter. I suppose it makes my job easier, having the trash in one place.
  22. Supposed to be mid 70s by Monday. Again, we get no spring.
  23. I can assure you from experience, not too many sub 3 lb. bass will attack large profile, 9" swimbait. That might not sound like "big" considering the OP's claims, but they do help you locate and catch the largest fish around. It does actually select for bigger fish. I find that jig fish are often bigger, but those of us that have success with a jig are usually structure driven anglers. I've said this before, my PB NY state bass is 7-2 caught on a 10# Powerworm. My second largest, a 7-1, came on a 3/32 oz. wacky jig and 3.5" worm. Go figure.
