  1. That's a big Mayan. Nice.
  2. Shiny side up, according to the site. It's a moisture barrier, meant to prevent spills from penetrating the pad. http://www.healthierchoice.com/foundation.html
  3. Just use a free hosting service: https://postimages.org/
  4. Did the same thing to a brand new spool of 10# Tatsu. Only difference was I snagged the boat carpet. I feel your pain.
  5. The drain plug of a bank fisherman!
  6. Yeah, I get it. Personally, I'd keep them. String 'em up with braid, except the 6'6". For that, I'd use it as topwater/jerKbait rod and use 30# Supercast. That stuff is great for this. Floats, acts like mono, zero stretch, twice as strong by diameter.
  7. *you're If you have a problem with the rules, take it up with Glenn. I like conversations with @Brett's_daddy and it was a friendly reminder. Pretty sure he knows that. No matter what you think, selling items for profit is forbidden here. Any more off topic replies will be removed.
  8. Oh, the all powerful electronics grounding. A very powerful parenting tool. I did see he caught a few nice bass on social media. Good job!
  9. It was a general warning. This is your third post justifying your comments. We've all had enough. I'd like to return to the topic. fissure_man posted an interesting point. Stay on topic.
  10. Short rods definitely have a place in my fishing, too. I have four DS rods that are 6'3" and a 6'2: casting rod for topwater and jerkbaits. That combo is actually one I can cast most things the farthest, though they are pretty aerodynamic baits.
  11. Again, if you post an opinion, and can't handle someone not agreeing, don't post. Several in this thread have gotten chippy instead of trying to learn more. @fissure_man that's a great post, and something I was thinking about as to why it's not all about "balance." The device that Dahlberg used measured tip weight. He felt a lighter tip helped him fish longer. He was dealing with pretty heavy tackle, though.
  12. No one in this thread told anyone to quit fishing. The OP demonstrated a fact, and formed an opinion about it. The very nature of how these forums work is stating agreement or dissent in reply. If you don't want to hear an opposing opinion, or can't handle a reasonable discussion, then it is you that should move on.
  13. Selling items for profit here is forbidden.
  14. It isn't post count, it's the content that has earned the respect.
  15. Are you a Fluevoger?

  18. All these tip heavy pics. Do you all fish with your baitcast reel on the bottom? Years ago, Larry Dahlberg showed a sling that he made to determine balance point on casting/conventional setups. It held the rod with the reel in the proper upright position. He often had to add weight to the butt to get it to balance they way he liked. At any rate, I really don't know what point is my preference. It either feels right or not.
  19. I have the H and XH. There are only a few baits I throw on the XH. The H Guide select, and a custom build on a Saint Croix 4C79HF covers most of what I throw: Hudd 68, Mattlures OG Hardgill, OG HPH, Savage Glide, etc.
  20. I live and fish on a Great Lake. There is presence on the water by the fire department, sheriff, USCG, and border patrol. I can assure you that you will be ticketed if you have only inflatables and not wearing them. It's why so many of us have those "orange bricks" of four in storage. None of my four inflatables say "Type II."
