Stix Rods
They point to durability as a selling point, and that data proves it. To me, it says they aren't going to be as sensitive as other rods in that price range. I could be wrong. I was not thrilled with the Favorite White Bird drop shot model. It had a solid tip that was supposed to be stronger. It was not crisp.

LOOKING FOR A NEW SWIMBAIT ROD
I have The Heavy and X-heavy Guide select swimbait rods. I'd spend the $20 or so more on them. I love them.

Smallmouth baits non craws
I've fished a lake that had no crawfish because they would be unable to survive in the low pH acidic water. That is a very rare situation, though and there were no smallmouth in the lake. Most freshwater lakes have them. There are over 300 species in the US. I've found that cranks and jerkbaits in various colors work well for smallies. Another go to would be a walking/popping topwater. I like the Popmax.

I use a Yakattack Panfish portrait with a RAM X Grip. Comes with a T-bolt that fits in the track system.

Post a photo a day!
Good time to have a conversation about personal development as well. Good job noticing these things. Your a great dad. I decided to retire the Dog Town deck. It was my first deck, getting back into skateboarding after 25 years. It's perfectly broken in, so I wanted to keep it in that condition. Sort of freeze the moment. Decks are cheap, so I picked up a shop deck. Frederick Douglass-Susan B. Anthony Bridge on Rt. 490 spans the Genesee River in the heart of Rochester. We all refer to it locally as the "Freddy-Sue." The deck is a collaboration between Krudco Skates and GoodKnews Photography.

Stix Rods
They're all moderate fast. Buy five, get one free? The dead lift ratings tell me all I need to know about sensitivity. Meh.

Pretty cool. Your comments about control while fishing reminded me of kayaking. It seems like an option for a PowerPole Micro would be a great idea.

Taking fish photos with my iPhone in the kayak?
Again, the camera is accessible from the lock screen. I already gave two ways to get to it. Everything else describes what you do to take a picture. It's pretty simple. I do it all the time.

So, preset the camera to a 3 or 10 second shutter delay.

Taking fish photos with my iPhone in the kayak?
The camera is accessible without unlocking the screen. Click the power button, and swipe left. Alternately, you can tell siri to take a selfie, and it opens the camera.
