  2. Total bull. Been using it on Power Pro for almost a decade. It's fine. You did something wrong, got a bad batch of line, or had some other issue like a cracked guide insert or something. And we're warning people of your UNFOUNDED claim.
  3. I would just do a flat, carpeted floor, and carpet the seats. That boat is a little too narrow for a raised deck.
  4. If you mean a medium power, fast action rod, you'd be fine with jigs up to about 1/2 oz. Would be great for 3/8 oz. jigs.
  5. I know that story....Nips deep in the Salmon R. to get to "the spot."
  6. The cork on my Avids is usually enough to float most reels under 9 oz.
  7. I'm struggling with the idea that three holes are better than one in your senko.
  8. Almost as complicated as the Ned rig. I generally just skewer the thing on the hook. I'm aware that the expense of catching fish is a torn bait. I'm good with catching fish, and not worried about complicated rigging. I suppose I should start Ned rigging those torn senkos.
  9. I remember when they first came out, and we would laugh at how long they'd hold onto the baits before dropping them. Sometimes they never dropped them.
  10. Sounds like a warranty issue. Call Shimano: 877-577-0600
  11. Don't keep opening new threads with the same question.
  12. You *can* but I don't think you'll like fishing with 20# mono. The general recommendation for 2500 size reels is 4 to 8# mono, or similar diameter braid and other super lines. 10# braid is very light diameter, but you can still see it. I like the way 20# braid or 6# fluorocarbon handles on spinning gear.
  13. The 200B is 27IPT, which is plenty fast for spoons, and casts 2/5 and 1/3 oz. Cleos a country mile. In fact, that has more to do with the rod than the reel. I'd wager you'll throwing 1/3, 1/2, and 2/3 oz. spoons more often any way. Just use a 3000 series spinning reel for the lighter stuff. You don't want to burn a spoon in - you'll lose the enticing random wobble.
  14. I'd be a lot less worried about the knob than the possibility of other damage. Mice LOVE wires. Check everything, and take some old pill bottles, put moth balls in them, and scatter them some of the compartments to drive the mice away.
  15. I was just teasing. Actually, the Bullet is not what I'd call a big water boat. I much preferred my 18' Xpress for the lake. Different "tackle boxes" for different waters...
  16. 21' 10". Mine's bigger than yours. **************************** If anyone needs a big bag, get those waterproof "boat bags" they sell at Bass Pro and a stack of utility boxes. They go on sale every so often, and they will outlast any tackle bag from the usual suspects. If you must have a "tackle bag," then I recommend the Flambeau AZ8.
  17. Anchors, high water, and strong current. That actually sounds terrifying. The boat looks like it's going to really cool, and tough as nails.
  18. You'll have to do the work, and wait for a sale, like mentioned above.
  19. Does this look like spit to you? Yes. Delicious.
  20. 1. GYCB website 2. Stored cool, dry, and dark: indefinitely 3. See 2.
  21. I used HeviCast for a while. It was nice, limp braid. I didn't really notice too much of a difference, but it did sink. Really, if you want to sink braid, tie a jig on the end of it!
  22. I hear ya, man. I'm 45, been playing drums for 37 of those years, and there's some things I can't do anymore.
