  1. Red PowerPro eventually turns pink.
  2. Switch to Owner Wide Gap Plus.
  3. Seems like there's bigger things to be worried about. Leave it, some animal will get it.
  4. A Fish Grip, set of long pliers, and cojones is all you need. I don't net northerns, musky, or tigers ever. Usually I'm able to release them boat side.

I can reset yours, for a price...
  6. There won't be much to see. Up here, a 14' semi-v aluminum boat with a 10-25 hp motor and trailer in running condition will set you back $1000 or more. You might find a deal, but that's pretty standard rate.
  7. We use TourneyX for kayak bass tournaments. It's pretty cool stuff. https://tourneyx.com/
  8. Don't sweat it. The whole point of this site is to new people over the learning curve, and catching fish consistently. We have all levels here. I probably fit somewhere in middle.
  9. LOL. This was from a month ago or so.... http://1v1d1e1lmiki1lgcvx32p49h8fe.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Ice-house-along-Lake-Ontario-960x540.jpg
  10. This is five year old thread. Guarantee you he'd be weeded out today. You might want to check how you're sorting topics. Pick "Newest First," "Unread Topics," and "Last 365 days," for best results.
  11. Same. I like Hudd 68, and Gills for this.
  12. It's fine to learn on, and perfect for swimbaiting. Many well seasoned 'baiters use it.
  13. Big swimbaits? 20# CXX.
  14. I do fine with Heavy/Fast or Heavy/Mod-Fast. It's more important to check the lure weight ratings, to me.
  15. Then they won't mind when I put them into the wall.
  16. Excellent. I've done a couple of these events. Burnie and Mike are friends of mine, and run a great event.
  17. Transfiguration freely. The most amusing cicada in the world. LOLOLOLOL!
  18. You aren't going to destroy you gears chucking 1-5 oz. baits. The gears aren't engaged when you cast. However, there's some stress on the frame, spool, and spool shaft. The main reason we use a larger reel is line capacity, and the larger spool makes it easier to thumb the spool. I like the Cardiff, Calcutta, Curado 300, and a Okuma Komodo for this stuff. I rarely throw anything over 3 oz.
  19. Spook type baits work well for me at night. Jitterbugs, too.
  20. I tie a pretty solid knot. I'm changing my process now. I have suspected that this is true. When I retie, the line is often wet already.

One point when someone hits the like button on your post.
  22. Lol, plenty use leaders without issue. Plenty that don't, and also have knots fail.
