Clearing Eye on Megastrike Shake2 Pro
Dental pick is a good idea. You can get them at a pharmacy.

How heavy should I go
I've fished over the east coast from NY to FL, and could never make any correlation between location and "level of cover." SOme lakes are dense, some are not, others have all different ranges.

Clearing Eye on Megastrike Shake2 Pro
Well, find something you stick in there. I never got a Shake2 Pro with that issue. If it's lead, it's not gonna hurt your line. Lead is soft.

Pocket knife or jig eye cleaner.

How heavy should I go
I use 50 for general weedy cover. I up it to 65 for thick slop. Never tried the XPS brand line. Kazan, PowerPro, Tuf-Line, and KastKing SuperPower have all worked well for me.

Catching My First Splake
No, a splake is from a male brook trout and female lake trout, then the resulting F1 males are crossed back with a female laker, resulting in a hybrid that is 75% lake trout and 25% brook trout. I think it just looks like a laker, but then again, I've never caught a splake.

bass and mushrooms
Those are morel mushrooms. There's really no mistaking them for anything other than a morel. Nice fish!

Site Videos
Well, YouTube is where our videos are hosted, so there shouldn't be a problem. You can go direct to our channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/BassResource

Bridges or just roads?
Agreed, it's a bridge. A roadbed is a little more subtle, sometimes having little ditches on either side. Nothing so sharplydefined as that. Pretty cool!

Site Videos
Seem to working fine from my side. Are you able to view any YouTube videos?

Avid X broke a guide, what to do?
I would take advantage of the Gold Star replacement or upgrade service You will get nothing for the broken rod, otherwise.

Braid soaking up water on reel
I would say the same as Mick. I do find that treating braid with L&L helps with this. It also helps braid hold its color. I don't think actual casting is improved.

Jerkbait rod
I use an Avid AVC62MXF. I like a fast tip recovery for better control when making twitches. I've had this rod for over 15 years. Also great for spooks and short range spinnerbaits.

Extra spinning spools
Call them: (800) 554-4653

Extra spinning spools
It's easiest to buy them direct from the manufacturer. What reels are you looking to get spools for?

How deep can you get a crankbait?
Look up "jacking a crank bait." You're welcome!

Trolling for bass, good or evil?
I'm with you Tom. Just relaying the legalese definition that I see in fishing regs. It's not easy determining what is fair and what is not.

Switching lines...again
I'm constantly trying new line. Some is in service to our members. I owe it to us to report back on what our sponsors have sent us to evaluate. In other cases, I purchase line based on your recommendations. It's a two way street. I probably have a dozen different brands strung up. Love it!

Trolling for bass, good or evil?
Umbrella Rig. The question was how is it not an artificial bait. It isn't bait. It's a rigging. That rigging could prerigged with a bait, or attractors, or some combination.
-
Trolling for bass, good or evil?
It's a rigging for five baits, not a single bait.
