  1. Nice slab, did you fry her up and slap between two pieces of bread? Good job.
  2. That will work but it matters more on how you fish, water clarify, method, types of structure. All of that comes into play also. I wpould say that is a good line for crankbaits but if T-Rgging in junk a hiogher pound ratio or better wear resistance is required.
  3. I use them on a local Strip Mine Lake. These will catch them when nothing else will. I T-Rig them also but use only a 3/16 oz weight casting to cuts in the bank. This lake is very clear and with sun the bass tuck up under. The key for me is the slow fall. Never had any luck with a heavier weight. You did not say what size weight you used so maybe this will help.
  4. Recieved mine yesterday, nice rod bit the tip was broken off. Set up for return, hope they have more otherwise they will look into substituting.
  5. I have a Pro Max that went for $ 80.00. This is a great reel for the price. It is made from alunimun I believe.
  6. Looks just like we have here on Earth, absolutely amazing.
  7. Good job, will you take me fishing?
  8. Landed that bass like a pro.
  9. I believe all the Revos have 24 lb drag.
  10. Money in the bank, they know it will be a hot seller, trying to beat the competition to the punch.
  11. I fish plastics and d**n it hurts on a hard hook set. No pain no gain I guess, I'll fish through it. >
  12. Just tried to order a Citica. They are on backorder for 8-9 weeks. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20166-cat20331&id=0060365123661a&navCount=4&podId=0060365&parentId=cat20331&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=XJ&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20331&hasJS=true
  13. I fished St Clair last year, the LM and SM gobbled up the Senko's. It is not far from you give it a try.
  14. Outstanding, you have a good fishing partner there!
  15. This oil was originally marketed as an API approved oil. In pumps that have oil rings made of bronze for lubrication in bearing housings they were concerned about black oil. Normal detergent oil would break down the bronze and blacken (containment) the oil. Also Royal Purple resisted condensation which was a plus in the pipeline industry which is subjected to change of season. I would think this might be a good alternative.
  16. That's the only one I will use. Had Trilene and Improved Trilene slip even when wetting. Can not go wrong with a Palomar in my opinion.
  17. I do drop my rod and set the hook when I feel tension on the line so maybe I do need to set sooner.
  18. I own three Crucials but no Carrot Stix. A bit of food for thought, I have seen numerous folks selling their Carrot Stix but not too many Crucials.
  19. Have not lost any. This is the first year I experienced this, always hooked in upper lip in the past.
  20. Us northern guys ***** when it's 85 degrees out and ***** when setting on a bucket on the ice when it's 10 below. But we still fish, go figure.
  21. Both of these young bucks crack me up.
  22. I fish quite a bit of T-Rig. Lately about half of the fish I caught have been hooked in the lower lip. Also as of late the bite has been very light sometimes feeling just a bit of weight. Out of curiousity why is this. Am I just slow on the draw?
  23. This is why I hide in the basement with my tackle. That look sends shivers up my spine. I feel for you.
  24. Good luck and stay safe.
  25. Used the weightless Senko method on a spot where I normally would have caught them on a T-Rig, Super Brush Hog. Normal method was a no go. Used a weightless Senko just as RW decribed but with 8 lb line, too weedy for 6 lb. Caught 6 bass in 15 minutes. Moral of the story, "Try something different today".
