  1. I do. I have a few of them. Great reels. Lots of features. Longer handle, dual pawl gears, narrow spool, silky smooth drag. I own several Revo STX's and have used Curado's and Daiwa's in the past and I guarantee I can throw a deep diving crank or any plug for that matter farther with the Fritts than any of them by a long shot....you can flat out launch baits across the lake.

I cant speak for whats going to happen with that particular boat but alot of times when a "team" wins a boat it gets sold and the profits are split down the middle. Hopefully one of them will keep it, lots of good memories will follow that boat around. Thats a huge win!
  3. About $10 shipped.....whats your paypal address? ;D

Man thats a huge win! The AC Tournaments are stacked with good local sticks.....I bet you guys are glad to be on the winning end of the .02 weight difference between 1st and 2nd.....WHEW! CONGRATULATIONS!
  5. Holly Grove and Americamps are right off 95 just a few miles (Bracey exit). You should be able to use either one of them.....I believe the Holly Grove ramp was $5 early this spring, Americamps was a little more.....thats where alot of the bigger tournaments go from. Not sure about shore fishing.....although I do see alot of people fishing around the bridges but I'd guess that most of the shoreline is private.
  6. Nice lookin' spots you got there 4biz! Cali definitely has some purty fish.....congrats on the PB's!
  7. Way to go Matt! I've been real impressed with the quality of bass that Gaston's been kicking out over the past few years.....its like the old days down there, 20 pound+ limits were common, a steady dose of 6# and 7# kickers.....GASTON ROCKS!
  8. The bigger hook on the SureSets rides up and I havent noticed anymore hang ups when using them. I dont crank brushpiles with them but I do use them when fishing rocks and offshore stuff that's not too sticky. My home lake doesnt have any grass so I cant say how they do in grass. The one thing I like about the SS hooks is that the one bigger hook grabs a whole lot more skin and jaw than a regular treble.....and in some cases they penetrate all the way thru and out the other side.
  9. That's the bag you're looking for on the final day!
  10. Cranks are most effective when they are bouncing or deflecting off cover or rocks, dock posts or even the bottom, just bang it against something. I like a #5 shad rap (chrome) in the fall and I fish an extremely clear lake. The small shad tend to migrate into the major creeks this time of year and the #5 shad rap matches those small shad real well. I dont like rattles in my cranks unless the water is at least a little off color. In stained water, I'll go firetiger or reds or blacks.....with a rattle.
  11. I understand the concept of those plays but when you have a terrible O-Line and a mediocre RB like Tech does, running a play east/west play like that is the equivalent to shooting yourself in the foot. Those plays DO work if you have the proper personnel to execute.....which at this point in time, Tech does not. And on top of that, they dont seem smart enough to realize it or they are too hard-headed to change.....I hope they figure something out soon because the defense and special teams have been carrying the offense all year.
  12. Tech gave it up. They played great (check that: the defense played great) for 58 minutes.....its a crying shame that there's 60 minutes in a game. The offense is terrible. Brandon Ore is not the same RB he was last year, he can barely break a tackle anymore and runs out of bounds alot now when last year he'd lower his shoulder and punish those little cornerbacks. The VT offensive coordinator (Stinespring) needs to freshen up the play book and start calling better plays. He has a habit of running lots of plays that start going east and west....which seem to always get stuffed for a loss or a very minimal gain. Plus when they get a lead, he backs off and plays conservative instead of just going for the throat and closing the door on the opponent. Being just 40 minutes from Blacksburg and a long time Tech fan, this loss is hard to swallow.
  13. Although I feel there are probably better chargers out there, the 3 Bank 5/5/5 XPS has held up well in my boat for almost 3 years now. It was on sale for $99 at BPS....regular I think they are $139.
  14. My recommendation is not exactly a topwater but real close.......a Red Fin. In November here in Va. we can cast the Red Fin and just real it back slow so it makes a wake on top.....the stripers really crush it.
  15. Thats a good'un SPEEDBEAD!!
  16. Nice hat avid! P.S. GOOD HAWG MAN!! Dont you love it when a big'un smashes a moving bait?
  17. I always leave with something. I guess thats because I have to drive 3 hours to get there and I sure wouldnt drive that far just to look around the joint.
  18. That PPV may actually be worth watching. The last 2 or 3 have been really weak. I hope the real Chuck Liddell shows up cause if he dont, Wandy will give him a beat down like he's never had before. And although I like Serra's attitude and heart, I think Hughes will pound him. Lucky for Serra, his team is winning the TUF show so far this season. Comes on tonight, 10pm on Spike.
  19. Zebco 33 with whatever rod it was that it came on. Actually I still have the reel and it still works. Not sure what happened to the rod.....
  20. I dont doubt one bit that these are great baits.....Matter of fact, if I walked in a tackle shop tomorrow and saw some I'd probably buy 'em. He was just wondering what the fuss was all about, so I explained it to him according to what has happened in the recent past.
  21. Because this happens whenever a new bait is featured in a popular BASS magazine. Two other prime examples are the Sweet Beaver and the Rad Lures Chatterbait......BASSMASTER is where they exploded. Once the articles ran, you couldnt find either one anywhere for a good while. I feel sure that in a few months the prices will be back down and they'll be available pretty much anywhere without being backordered. We are currently in the initial "shock" phase, meaning that someone, somewhere caught a hefty limit of bass on something that hardly anybody had in their tackle box or had even heard of.....and the madness begins. Only if you dont have anything else that you can catch fish with.
  22. Location, location, location...... picking the absolute best location should be one of the bigger priorities. There are many factors to consider when choosing your location. Traffic, competition, lakes or rivers close by?, demand etc.... I wish you luck and I hope you get rich!
  23. Welding aluminum is tough....and of all the welders I know personally, there is only a small handful that can do it correctly and consistently. Man, I bet dragging that boat will really be a job now, you know, since you hung that 300 Pro Max on it. Be sure to trim it up prior to dragging.
