An observation about fried foods.... Fried foods get knocked for being unhealthy. I've got a big 'ol deep cast iron skillet I've been frying in for years. I always put oil in up to the bottom of the pour spout that is formed into the side of the pan. I notice when after I'm done cooking a big batch of chicken or whatever, I have the same amount of oil left over (maybe just a tad below where I started) So when properly done, how much oil is REALLY getting into the food ? Not as much as you think.

Where were you a day ago ? I just ordered that EXACT rod from *** and got it 20% off. The offer is gone now, but they have that rod for $109.99 which is as cheap as you're going to find it. I did a bit of research and it looks to be a killer stick for the money.

I got me a Falcon Lowrider XG rod from TW. With the 20% off deal they had, I got it for $87.99 Best part is I didn't leave the house.

I forgot the best one.....1.5" to 2.5" pieces of senko style stick baits (preferably the pointed tail section) rigged on a ball jighead, fished any number of ways. Laugh all you want, call it a junk bait, whatever. It catches fish and lots of them. A good way to get more bites out of your torn up worms...

So, the concept for the knotless leader is that the leader goes inside of the braid ala the "Chinese Finger Trap" ? The more you pull on the leader the tighter the grip ?

I saw on another forum that the 7' has 8; 7 guides + the tip. Can't speak for the other lengths.

If you look closely at the ad, it says "STX HS", which is the high speed 7.1:1 model. I wonder if that's all they have. Anyhow it's still a great deal.
