Good luck with the storm. In the past 4 years we have rode out several storms. When Ivan hit we were without power for 9 days and it was 95 or hotter each day. Those were the longest days of my entire life.

I mainly fish a private pond close to my house.

I agree, pickerel are a lot of fun to catch. We caught a few of them in the Flint river when I lived in Georgia.

Like you, I watch it because I love football. I also watch it because it is a good way to see the second and third string guys in action.

I am really getting tired of the heat as well. I went to a place nearby around five and left at 7:30 because it was already 80 something and very humid. When you are sweating profusely at 7:30 in the morning, you know it is going to be a miserable day. At least I managed to catch 4 before I went home. I think it reached 100 something with the heat index. If I can survive this heat and the peak of hurricane season, I will be a happy camper. Hope everyone stays cool and hydrated.

Nice fish. I'm ready to go early tomorrow morning. Hopefully, I will catch a few that size.

I like to fish points, coves, creek channels, rocks, and any submerged or exposed wood. If you have a depth finder, try and find some ledges and drops. We have caught a lot of fish this summer on spots where shallow and deep water are close together. Have you ever caught a spotted bass? If not, you are in for a real treat. Let us know how you do.
