  1. Just use 2x2 to go across the front two seats, cut out the plywood to fit into your boat and secure the plywood to the 2x2's by screws, just don't secure to the seats and it is easily removable.
  2. Does anyone know where I can get reels serviced near Rochester? And if so how much is like a general cleaning? Thanks -Dylan
  3. Shimano Citica E, $120, 6.2:1-General all around ratio.
  4. I have always unpegged it, the tube goes crazy when you give it a fast yank
  5. Another thing to note reddragon is that the Rod has lifetime warranty, and the reel is backed up by shimano very well. Many people on here love their shimanos because they last very long and stay in working shape.
  6. I found the texas rigged tube to be very succesful, with a 4/0 hook and 1/8th oz weight. 3.5" coffee tube was what i was using
  7. I had one, it has really erratic action like bouncing all over the place, It snagged some kind of fish I wasn't sure what kind, but other than that nothing.
  8. I have not really heard much about Okuma when it comes to rods, have they really not released anything until recently? or have the rods always just not been impressive to anglers? I look at this C3 and it looks so shiny, do you think it works as good as it looks? It would be nice to try it out, but when I was at BPS I did not see the C3 there. So if anyone has used this rod, how was it compared to similar priced rods? If you have not used this exact rod but have used Okuma rods, are they a decent rod maker? Thanks -Dylan
  9. Strike king red eye spinnerbait, first time using rod and reel and lure, first cast fell for about 2 seconds then got the strike. Next cast i got it stuck on a log and lost it, what a shame. Also up at my cottage for some reason every time i throw a 3/8oz red and white daredevil I always catch a largemouth.
  10. I noticed that too, then saw the picture of the miss labeled fish and now don't believe much of the article, they could have easily done a search online to check the fish type. But I am pretty sure bass will not be doing much saltwater.
  11. Hmmm :-/ something wrong with this one, thats me in the background, my girlfriend caught the big one, o well makes her enjoy fishing so I can buy more equipment.
  12. You should take that!!! I just got an avid 7MH for $180, thats practically a steal! This is what makes this forum so good people are out to help.
  13. I think i said this last year. But then i joined a club and now i need more.
  14. Yeah I mixed the two up. I was talking about the elite series.
  15. Yeah I was looking at that for my casting rod, I liked it but I did not like the recoil guides, they seemed cheap, have you used the JM rod?

But it is at $100 http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_103926_100001001_100000000_100001000_100-1-1?ordProd=Y&CMID=TOP_selectitems#itemDetail This is on sale for $60
  17. I just heard a fact that they have found several smallmouth bass with up to 12 gobies in their stomachs (Lake Ontario). So i wanna also start to use them this summer.
  18. Does *** sell kistler? When i click their link it is just a movie, does it mean they sell it or not?
  19. No from the article lol, the caption says he is holding a smallmouth but I think its a largemouth.
  20. And you can easily spool it at home, have someone hold the spool of line with a pencil through the middle and just wind away, keep tension on so it fills better. And as for your first baitcasting outfit, theres a little learning curve.
  21. haha sounds like my dad. I go out fishing with 3 rods and he says i have too many, and my big tackle bag, says i dont need all that tackle. But when we are both fishing the same pond i pull out five and he cant get a nibble, he is quick to stop talking. Anyone who says you have too much tackle, well they are just jealous!
  22. I am pretty sure its a largemouth in that picture? correct me if I am wrong
  23. I fish with the left hand retrieve, i was brought up on spinning reels until last year when i started using casting, I never thought I would like it, but i have come to like it a lot better than spinning.
  24. well if you plan on fishing more finesse then spinning, but most other applications work better on baitcasting IMO. You get better accuracy and I hate when the line gets tangled on spinning reels it is absolutely terrible. But baitcasting can be used in more variety, like flipping and pitching where as it is a little harder with a spinning outfit (Although it can be done). So i would lean more towards baitcasting, cause you can still cast pretty light things with a baitcaster ie I think a weightless senko is easiest for me to cast. Thats just me though also i can cast a 1/8th bullet weight with a tube pretty far on a casting outfit. Depends on what you think will suit you best.
  25. 5:1=Slower. Better used for crankbaits 6.2:1=Medium. Good all around ratio. 7:1= High Speed. Good for flippin and pitching and carolina rigging, the high speed helps to pick up line quickly. Basically the ratio is spool turn:Handle turn for every time you spin the handle once the inside would spin 5 times for 5:1. etc.
