  1. I'm in. Don't Have anything to lose so why not
  2. IMO I thought it was awesome seeing him win that event. Helps show you dont need 50k+ bass rigs, and simple little boats can sometimes be better. Also, although I dont like the fact they got rid of co anglers, I dont think he would have been able to do that, the weight might have pushed the boat down an inch or so making it not fit...not sure. But either way it was awesome to see someone win in a boat that is affordable to alot more people.

  4. Does anyone leave the plastic on the cork of their rod handle? I have a few friends who do this and I just don't understand their logic. I like the cork to mold a little to my hand JMO.
  5. 20# Suffix Braid. Has line size of 8# mono. Strong and sensitive. Don't have to worry about line twist as much.
  6. I get crap all the time, they ask why I spend so much on fishing stuff and I explain the golf club theory. They continue to say how it is boring and a waste of time. One of my friends is always asking why I spend so much on fishing, I say its my hobby its what I do and he say all that you need is a rod a reel and some worms, I just laugh. Then you look into his room and see over $1000 in video gaming equipment? ie Xbox360 lcd tv, 15+ games. And I ask why do you spend so much on video games, and he says cause they're fun. Hmmm a video game system will last ~5 years before a newer, better one comes out, in which he'll go buy it. My fishing arsenal will last a lifetime. Hmmm seems like fishing is a better investment.

  8. Go with the 7'6" H, It will be great for flipping, pitching, frogging and carolina rigging.
  9. My first baitcasting set up was using braid, and I found it difficult to go to mono because it had memory. JMO
  10. Man and here I am like a sucker carrying all my tackle and fumble around, and if I fall everything goes everywhere.
  11. Is it possible to change the gear ratio on a reel? Like I was thinking of buying the new energy pt, but they dont have 5:1 in left hand version, could i just have the 5:1 gears put into the left handed reel even if they are gears for a right handed reel? Thanks -Dylan
  12. Its helping me decide which reel to buy for a carrot stick
  13. IMO I found braid to be a good all around line, strong and no memory.
  14. Theyre similar to cheetos... Orange..and once you have one you want more
  15. I want to try a carrot stick so I am probably going to get a cranking carrot stick and pair it up with a Energy PT, the whole setup will be just about as light as my old Tour Edition PT lol
  16. Group, helps find a pattern quicker. And also gives a little competition which IMO makes me fish better.
  17. Alright well its between a 6'9", 7', and 7'2" all medium action with moderate power.
  18. What size would be good for an all around crankbait rod, from wake baits to DD22's. Thanks -Dylan
  19. I want to get one now too, is this better than an STX or SX?
  20. Bought the avid instead, comes on tuesday ;D. Don't get to see it till Saturday :-[
  21. Just go with a Quantum .
  22. Looks like fun, but that sound of the jetski engine would get so annoying.
  23. Some nice woolybugs might also do the job.
  24. Give it a shot why not? bass look for something different, if ten people go at one fish with typical jigs and trailers, and you come through with a lizard on it, the bass might want to check it out more. JMO. I was thinking of trying something like that with a frog bait, I also thought the kickin legs would produce more action/slower fall. So give it a shot, you dont have much to lose. -Dylan
