How Would the Pro's Do W/O
If they could study the map prior they would do alright. They could just beat the bank all day too, and do just fine.

dropshot reel size
I would say If you are keeping around 6-8 then something that will hold a good 160-200 yards of 6#.

Is it worth the extra $40
Don't know a thing about either reel. But if you think you're sacrificing some reel quality to save the $40, then you might be always questioning yourself as to whether you should've bought the Supreme. And if that is true and you are planning to keep the reel for a long time, then I'd bite the bullet and spend the extra $40 now and you'll never have to second-guess yourself. Thats true, but if everything worked like that then I would have all GLX's and would be broke.

I need a new worm rod!!!
Try a carrot stick, or Step up to the St Croix LT, they both have the split grips. As for a good rod, I love my avid and I am sure the LT is just a step up with split grip.

Difference between quality spinning reel..and crap
What makes the difference in spinning reel quality? Like why is the Stella so expensive and why would it be better than any other spinning reel? I assume bearings have much to do with this, but does it have to do with components such as the bail system? Also I have heard drag is a huge factor but how smooth can it really be. I am looking to buy my first quality spinning reel and I want to know what I should be looking for. Thanks for any input. -Dylan

Monster Potomac River Snake Head-
There was a whole show on them on National Geography the other day. They seem like some angry fish. They put one in a Styrofoam container on ice for 24 hours and came back the next day and put it in water and it swam like nothing was different

Daiwa Light and Tough 7 or 7'6
Im looking for a flippin stick, how are the powells?
-
Daiwa Light and Tough 7 or 7'6
7'6" if is heavy cover. I look at 7' as a standard for most of my applications. So for flipping and carolina rig rods I would use a bit larger.

Took apart my first reel today...
There are alot of little parts that like to fall on the ground, good thing none fell on me . But it felt good to successfully pull apart and put back together the whole thing. Next I will do a thorough cleaning. My questions are which parts are most important to clean and lube and oil? I assume the bearings on the side plate near the braking, (I have an STX), also the spool tension knob. But what about the gears inside the reel? Do i grease them, and how so? Also what is your favorite reel oil/lubricant? Thanks -Dylan
