  1. Do a search for braid knots, I guarantee the majority use the palomar not no matter what
  2. Here in new york they made that a law , still some dont obey it. Why dont car manufacturers just use running lights? I always drive with my headlights on just for the heck of it
  3. Sporting goods, sometimes some fishing stuff comes up under boats also.
  4. Looks very similar to what I have got going, except I opted for the 6'6" spinnerbait rod. Also the 7'6" heavy could be used for frog and carolina if you ever plan to do those.
  5. Watch craigslists for boats, I have seen many great deals go through there. Especially with the economy, people are just getting rid of their boats at great prices and if you have the money to buy one than go for it.
  6. Craigslist comes through big this time, Found a brand new St Croix Premier with a One year old Curado 201, all for only $125, and he said he would put any line I want on it. I am Very Satisfied with this find
  7. Poor kittens. Its alright gotta work all day anyways, and with the weather it doesnt look like many boats will be launching, so I guess I will get to fish
  8. Easy there, nothing wrong with northern people....Have you ever been skiing? Its alot of fun
  9. You can get a 200dpv or 201dpv which is the old curado. NIB for $100 on ebay. I dont think the E version can be found for that price, unless used.
  10. 201dpv. Check ebay can get them for around $100. Slow ration, less IPT and very smooth reel. It is my designated cranking reel. Casts a DD22 40-50 yards with ease
  11. I just read through the articles on the forum, and they said to pick a bait that will attract a bass with the most senses, ie sight, smell, vibration. The rain will cause run off which will muddy up the water.
  12. Revo STX Shimano Crucial Flipping stick 7'6"MH 50lb Fireline Braid Black Spro Frog
  13. 5lb 12oz largemouth on a tube
  14. Sure use it on spinning gear, I would stay under 20# braid. But it will work just fine, no memory
  15. Braid is great for heavy cover, strong and diameter is small. Has no stretch which can be a problem for some applications. Mono is a good general line, can be used for almost everything.
  16. dmac14 - how old was your combo? And was it as easy as calling the extended warranty company and they sent you a gift card? Or did you take it back to the store? I'm refering to the extended warrnty where you have to contact the warrnty company. Well my friend took it back, but actually I think it was in the 60 day period so it was under normal warranty. But I remember asking about the extended one and you just call in with your warranty number and in the mail like 2 weeks later you get a dicks gift certificate for the price of the rod.
  17. Yeah call it in a week before it ends and go buy another rod, 2 fer 1 ;D. Haha just kidding. But seriously it is a great warranty I had it for a dicks combo and my friend broke the tip off with his hands and they just gave me a brand new one
  18. For that price range I would look for an Accurist pt, can get them on ebay for $75 TYD. My brother has one and it is fantastic. I have never touched a code so I am no help to you there.
  19. Haha, well do you fish on a boat? Cause at my pond I may walk 2-3 miles throughout the day, climbing hills and jumping around, all with my fishing stuff. On top of that popping a spro frog all day. I think it is quite a workout, and when I fish all my concentration is on fishing so I dont get hungry, thus eating less. So yes I would consider it exercise. Just more of a reason to fish more
  20. I agree with big fruit, 2500 is the ideal size. The father days sale only works for certain items and the symetre is not one of them. But search google for *** 10% off and you might find something. My dad owns the sahara and it is smooth.
  21. Yeah I hear ya, the taxes suck here too.
  22. Suffix performance braid.. Also give fireline braid a shot, Someone recommended it on here and I have been using it with no problems yet. Its very round and smooth.
  23. Watch the line, any weird things going on just set the hook, as you fish it more often you will notice how as it pulls line down, if that rate increases or decreases, reel the slack and set the hook...hook sets are free, and if something is going on and you don't set the hook it could potentially be a fish and thus swallowing the whole bait.
  24. If you fish for a living, then what the heck are you gonna do for a day off? Now that being said, I will enjoy fishing small club tournaments make a little extra money (maybe) if not its just a fun weekend out fishing
  25. Gobies are helping the smallmouth size. I heard from my Bass club that they have found smallmouth with up to 15 gobies in their stomachs...It was brought in electro fishing by the dec, but still crazy
