Spinnerbait rod
I wouldnt say it would affect it too much, I mean a spinnerbait rod can be used as a jig rod and letting it fall seems like a jig approach. As for the kind of rod, ask on the forum if anyone has anything available, you might be able to get a compre or premier for around $75...maybe even a crucial.

Gouin Reservoir-Quebec
one of the problems we had was it was a little windy, and the lake was so d**n big that once you get out in the deep open water the waves were to the point that our boats couldn't get through safely, so getting to the hot spots were tough. we ended up finding spots from the guide, (he came once a day to make sure we were alive and had gas for the boat, and no probs with the cabin) and from the epa guys that stopped us. that had to be planned by the way, we were pretty much the only people on the lake. The wind was a b****, I found a drift sock to be very helpful in boat control. Always bring a rain coat, even if its sunny out...its still going to rain. And even if its not, riding a boat with those waves you will get soaked. But once you get to a spot its fun

Gouin Reservoir-Quebec
With these places its not so much the where but the how. The people that fly you out (should) give you a map with specific spots highlighted on where the fish are. Walleye love the 3/8oz orange jig with a Gulp Minnow as the trailer. As for pike daredevils are key. I had one fish hit my daredevil 7-8 times before I hooked up with him. Any cove with weeds will hold a pike and even when out jig fishing for walleyes you can hook into a pike. Actually the largest ones my group hook into were out deep jigging for walleyes.

1000 islands opener?
I went on a guided trip there last year, he mostly had us drift fish with live minnows (which can be subsituted for plastics). We caught a few 4# and a plethora of 2's. Water was really clear like up to 20ft, so just drift and bottom bounce.

What is the best $200 or less rod?
And if you wait you could buy a IMX for around that price. But if its retail value than a crucial or avid, love both of mine

Guaranteed To Catch Bass
O well then preference and what you would use it for mostly. Longer rods=more distance, shorter rods= better accuracy

I think you would get too many bluegill/crappie, I was fishing with night crawlers the other day for bluegill, and they love those things.

Drop Shot hook size
What is your preferred hook size for drop shotting? I use #2 but it almost seems to small, I am thinking of going up to a #1 or 1/0. Let me know what you have found successful. Thanks -Dylan

issues with suffix braid
The fireline braid didnt feel too bad, still testing it out. As for a nice light braid go with 20#, its as thin as 6# but heavy enough so the wind doesnt blow it all over. My dad had 10# braid and it was such a pain, it would just get tangled on everything.

Spinning Reel for around $50
I have heard great things about the president, check ebay. You might be able to find a Shimano sahara for that price or a symetre.

Do you trim your motor in or out while docked overnight?
Depends, If its on a boat lift I may or may not, in the water it would be a definite. Although on my little row boats I will just leave it in and it hasnt had any issues.

Rehooking YUM Dingers on pointed end
sure they work just find, you can put a hook anywhere in those style worms and catch fish. I find when you rig it backwards it twitches more violently and moves faster.
