1). 3/8oz T-rigged Jig 2). 1/2oz T-rigged Jig 3). 3/4oz T-rigged Jig 4). 1oz T-rigged Jig And by simply changing the weight I have all four baits from this one rig. A-Jay

New Sk 10Xd
That's one Mutant crankbait - Since it came out, I've taking more fish on the 6XD than all the other cranks combined - so I'm a big fan. If 10XD comes out in time - I'll be bringing a few down to Lake Baccarac in March. Maybe this "big fish" bait can work some magic in Mexico . . . . . A-Jay

Swimbaits...which Do You Use, How Do You Rig?
Check out the Bull Shad - the 5" & 6" are solid producers Also recommend looking up the Custom painted versions by Dwain Batey at Bait Werks Custom Bait Shop I fish these two - he does good work - and these baits catch. A-Jay

Help Me Break Away From Rapalas
I gave up on Rapala crankbaits - didn't want to but had to - they are just too fragile. Normans, Spro and Strike King have replaced them .... but There is a new kid on the block and the baits are proving to have quite a bit of potential. The Crush 50X & the Crush 300DD made by 6th Sense Custom Lures are a very durable, great running and high quality crankbaits without the usual high price tag. For the clear water angler, the very realistic finish on these lures is made to order. Check them out, I think you'll be pleased. A-Jay http://www.6thsensel...e-products.html

One Strength You Have That Many Others Don't
I'm a member (and Club President ) of "Add To Cart Anonymous" - Additionally, I do not believe that I do much different than any other anglers here ~ Except there are hardly anglers here (fishing for bass) so that helps. Also, I am willing to do it during the cool, black and scary Night time . . . . . . A-Jay

Knot Wars
I would tend to agree with that. But would add that fluorocarbon seems to be a different beast when it comes to knots. Tie a bad one or the "wrong" one and you and your lure (and fish) will be parting ways. I believe a Palomar is strong but tying it is a pain especially at night. I have gone to a double line 3 or 4 twist improved clinch knot almost exclusively. Does well on split rings and hooks and still provides the double line strength at the contact point which I like. And is a bit easier for the old blind guys like me to tie. Passing a couple of trebles through that loop when tying a Palomar rarely happens smoothly. A-Jay

Jigs With A Secondary/trailer Hook
As mentioned already - using an open trailer hook on a bait that is designed to be fished in a structure / cover environment is an example of using the wrong tool for the job. Jigs have weed guards - if you don't need this feature - either cut it back or use an open / bare hook designed jig head. I see no problem using a trailer hook on any bait in open water but there is probably another bait better suited for that situation other than using a one with weed guard protected hook and an open hook on the same bait. Hook setting problems when jig fishing are sometimes not associated with the jig itself. Could be a situation where the rod and / or line choice is contributing to poor hook up ratio. A-Jay

A Letter To Santa ~ (With An Attitude)
Dear Santa, How are you? How is Mrs. Claus? I hope everyone, from the reindeer to the elves, is fine. I have been a very good boy this year. I would like an X - Box 360 with Call of Duty IV and an iPhone 5 for Christmas. I hope you remember that come Christmas Day. Merry Christmas, Timmy Jones * * Dear Timmy, Thank you for your letter. Mrs. Claus, the reindeer and the elves are all fine and thank you for asking about them. Santa is a little worried with all the time you spend playing video games and texting. Santa wouldn't want you to get fat. Since you have indeed been a good boy, I think I'll bring you something you can go outside and play with. Ho-Ho-Ho & Merry Christmas! Santa Claus * * Mr. Claus, Seeing that I have fulfilled the "naughty vs. Nice" contract, set by you I might add, I feel confident that you can see your way clear to granting me what I have asked for. I certainly wouldn't want to turn this joyous season into one of litigation. Also, don't you think that a jibe at my weight coming from an overweight man who goes out once a year is a bit trite? Respectfully, Tim Jones * * Mr. Jones, While I have acknowledged you have met the "nice" criteria, need I remind you that your Christmas list is a request and in no way is it a guarantee of services provided. Should you wish to pursue legal action, well that is your right. Please know, however, that my attorney's have been on retainer ever since the Burgermeister Meisterburger incident and will be more than happy to take you on in open court. Additionally, the exercise I alluded to will not only improve your health, but also improve your social skills and potentially help clear up a complexion that looks like the bottom of the Burger King fry bin most days. Very Truly Yours, S Claus * * Now look here Fat Man, I told you what I want and I expect you to bring it. I was attempting to be polite about this but you brought my looks and my friends into this. Now you just be disrespecting me. I'm about to tweet my boys and we're gonna be waiting for your fat butt and I'm taking my game console, my game, my phone, and whatever else I want. WHAT EVER I WANT, MAN! T - Bone * * Listen Pizza Face, Seriously??? You think a dude that breaks into every house in the world on one night and never gets caught sweats a skinny G - banger wannabe? "He sees you when you're sleeping; He knows when you're awake". Sound familiar, genius? You know what kind of resources I have at my disposal. I got your stuff wired, Jack. I go all around the world and see ways to hurt people that if I described them right now, you'd throw up your Totino's pizza roll all over the carpet of your mom's basement. You're not getting what you asked for, but I'm still stopping by your crib to stomp a mud hole in you're butt and then walk it dry. Chew on that, Petunia. S Clizzy from the Pole * * Dear Santa, Bring me whatever you see fit. I'll appreciate anything. Timmy * * Timmy, That's what I thought, you little dork. Santa
