  2. Life Jacket Sizing for Kids Fit is important in keeping a child's head above water, so do not get a too-big PFD thinking he or she will grow into it. Sizing for a youngster depends on his or her weight (and not chest size, as it does with adults): Infant PFDs: 8 to 30 pounds Child PFDs: 30 to 50 pounds Youth PFDs: 50 to 90 pounds For infants and small children, a PFD should have a: Padded head support to help keep the child’s head above water. Grab handle to assist retrieving the child out of the water. Crotch strap to help keep the PFD from riding up. Youth-sized PFDs look like, and have the same features as, adult PFDs. The more straps a PFD has, the more adjustments can be made for sizing. Finally, several Brands works - None are Child proof If the unit has clips/buckles that can be re-positioned, move them to the 'back' out of reach from the child. Otherwise a few wraps of this might do it. J/K (Sort of) A-Jay
  3. Sound awesome. Sometimes I'll venture into MickyDee's for the square fish. A-Jay
  4. Congrats on the Big Bass. Bummer she didn't make it but it happens. At least you got to enjoy her twice. A picture of that filleted carcass would probably trigger a few peeps. I am not one. A-Jay
  5. Never mind - read the op incorrectly A-Jay
  6. I do both, sharpen when I can and replace, if I can't bring it back. Most times and I mean most times, a single hook bait like a jig, spinnerbait, vibrating jig and even just single hooks for rigged plastics, can be re-honed. There's often plenty of material to work with and unless I totally botch the deal, it will come back fine. Treble hooks can as well but on some of the smaller sizes (say size 4 & 6 which is the smallest I use) there's not a ton of meat on the bone. So if after needing some real attention a couple or three times, there may not be a lot left there to bring back. At that point these get replaced. My sharpening process is super simple and usually only takes a few passes around the hook point. @Glenn knows what's up A-Jay
  7. I failed to list it but that 3.5 - 4 inch Keitech Swing Impact Swimbait has been good for me as well. A-Jay
  8. I use these quite a bit ~ SK Menace, GYBC Single & Twin tail grub, & RI Little Dipper A-Jay https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/228461-what-is-your-favorite-swimjigtrailer/?do=findComment&comment=2584671
  9. @king fisher I have a couple each of the 105 and the 125 SB. Smallies like the 105 but the 125 has worked for us south of the border. I was going to write that I'm a fan of the bone, (color) but that just seemed a bit controversial. Either way, the tail hooks on both a little thin. A big Mexican Bass can straighten that deal out like no bodies business. Just Saying. A-Jay
  10. My Sunday morning started of with Workout 1. Competed 3 working sets of between 10-15 reps for 6 exercises. Did 2 working sets of crunches on the 'ball of death' to wrap it up. Showing the last set of each one here. I always document every workout and do believe specific details of weights, sets & reps is important. As I continue to work myself back, I've been able to make 'small' weight increases (just about every week) while maintaining the same number of working sets & reps. Bottom line, this stuff adds up fast. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  11. Just get new hubs ~ and maybe something like this https://www.etrailer.com/s.aspx?qry=Incandescent+Tail+Light+for+Trailers+over+80"+Wide+-+Submersible+-+8+Function+-+Driver+Side A-Jay
  12. Perhaps check out T-H Marine MJ-1-DP Mini Jacker Small Engine Jack Plate Might be just what the doctor ordered . . . https://www.amazon.com/T-H-Marine-MJ-1-DP-Jacker-Outboard/dp/B0000AXQ9D/ref=asc_df_B0000AXQ9D?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=80539281984748&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4584138858107199&psc=1 Just realized the above unit maxes out at 35 hp. Even most of the auxiliary motor mounts have similar specs. Your 50 hp motor may need an over sized manual jack plate. Panther Marine makes several options https://panthermarineproducts.com/ A-Jay
  13. I use I think 4 different brands of swimbait. For trailers I use a Zoom bait (forget the actual name) and RI Skinny Dipper. (not pictured) On a jig head, it's Keitech and SK Rage Swimmer. For warmer deeper application with a heavier head and a fast fall rate Rage gets the nod. For cooler water, a light head and a slower fall rate (especially on a tight line) the Keitech is my choice. The SK bait rarely performs for me unless it's moving at a pretty good clip. Durability varies however the Keitech is clearly the softest of the bunch. I do not get bummed out when baits are no longer fishable. I'll feed them what they'll eat until I run out and then get more. I know where they sell them. A-Jay
  14. When Michael Valerio’s family emigrated from Italy to Boston, they brought along authentic Italian family recipes handed down through generations. These were the recipes Michael and his wife, Helen, used when they opened their first pizzeria, Piece O’ Pizza, in East Boston in 1961 Memories ~ Used to be one in Everett Square when I was in High School. Scarfed down my fair share of that grub. A-Jay
  15. I have used a paddle tail with some success. However like @LrgmouthShad above, Riding on a swinghead, a Rage Bug or Menace does most of the heavy lifting for me. And fished in the right deal, it can be Lights Out ! ? A-Jay https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/211811-brown-bass-tools-~-questions-answers/?do=findComment&comment=2467689
  16. Pretty sure it was a Sears & Roebuck 'Ted Williams Special' spin caster ~ circa 1960 something. A-Jay
  17. Workout 3 on this already hot Friday Morning. Just about back to my fighting weight and feeling quite a bit more capable than I did just 3 weeks ago. Btw, I never under estimate the importance of grip strength. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  18. Me too. A ton of very accomplished bassheads totally make it happen with FC on a spinner. Probably not 17 but either way. I tried it with 6 & 8 FC Total Fail for me. I think I must been holding my mouth wrong when I filled the spools. A-Jay
  19. I was giving the benefit of the doubt that it was a casting reel. An over filled spool of 17 lb FC on spinner is probably a variety of curse words waiting to happen. A-Jay
  20. Krispy Kremes apparently ~ A-Jay
  21. Sounds like something zany is going on. Seaguar InvisX is on at least half my casting reels. Tatsu fills the rest. Never had a problem. Was the filler line spool flat or spinning round & round when you filled your reel ? Flat is not so good, postioned vertically and revolving is better. A-Jay
  22. Part of the deal unfortunately. Check and recheck after most any outdoor experience. My dogs asked my to hang this sign out back as a friendly reminder. A-Jay

Hope they had my checking account routing number correct ? #directdeposit A-Jay
  24. It's all good. I think we're both here to learn and reading about different methods, styles & opinions is the way it usually happens. I'm not a 'wincher' either but I do mostly target the bigger bass (SMB) in the waters I fish. Sometimes I even get a few. When selecting my gear, it needs to be up to the task of handling the biggest fish I can hope to land. Lesser fish hooked are simply a means to that end. Good Luck A-Jay

Why ? Did they find out the current actice ingredients have been known to cause cancer and wild fires in California? WTH A-Jay
