  1. After my scheduled off day, plus a mainainance day it was Workout 2 this morning. Got to grind a little more today and adding a some weight to each movement helped with that. Completed 3 working sets of 5 movements. Showing the 2nd and 3rd sets here. My appetite seems to be increasing which I'm taking as a good sign. Gotta feed the machine. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  2. Not exactly certain which structural element we're targeting here ~ But either way, best case scenario for me would be; low light and any wind/current in my face. If there's sun, I'd hope to be able to have it behind me. And if you're sitting on The Spot @Catt I'll come back tomorrow, earlier. Of maybe even go to another lake. A-Jay
  3. @The Baron My Shoreland'r trailer has 'guides', along with LED lights along it's length; Very helpful for low light operations. (The guides are black so a little hard to see in the pics below against the black hull) They work well but might not be the end all answer for a really poor approach when loading your rig. If you've not used the trailer guides before here's a couple of things to remember in the early going. First off, setting the trailer too deep where the guides are too close to the waterline, is not good. Your rig might end up on top of a guide, which is not a good time. Having the water line right at the top of the trailer fenders is the sweet spot for me. Find yours on a calm day and stick with it. Having the trailer a little too shallow always seems better in the long run, than too deep. Excessive Speed and a miss aligned approach to the trailer can have your rig bouncing off the guides and may not help getting the boat positioned properly on the trailer. Especially when wind & or current is not in our favor during a recovery. Sounds simple but I watch operators 'depend' on the guides far too much to the point where you just know at some point, something's got to give. Finally, as a one man show at the ramp, I rarely 'need' to power load anymore. With or without a dock. Set the boat & trailer up right in advance, and I use the dock line to pull the boat on to the trailer. Then use the winch & tow strap to slide it the last foot or two up to the roller. Good Luck A-Jay
  4. Started this rainy Thursday morning off right with this report. Nicely Done. A-Jay
  5. Thinking about those brown bass is no doubt a welcome distraction, but they'll be there when you are healthy again. Infections are no joke. Hope you're feeling better soon. A-Jay
  6. Nice Job ~ Good Luck Tomorrow. What did that Big Girl eat and any Pics ? A-Jay

Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  8. Even if there is only One Deal on my truck, boat, motor or trailer that needs maintenance, and I put it off, you can bet that's what will fail the very next trip out. #procrastinatorsanonymous A-Jay
  9. From yesterday afternoon here . . . Probably only a couple of years old but can empty that feeder in a couple on nights. The birds are not happy . . . . A-Ja
  10. Apparently the last time @TnRiver46 boat a new boat it was . . . #summerof69 Bryan Adams would be so proud A-Jay
  11. You could send it to me ! I won't pay it off of course. But you could send it. ? A-Jay
  12. Looking good. Perhaps the fastest way to get a real good feel for the local herbivore population, is to plant a new vegetable garden. Or in my cases a few years back, put out some expensive potted plants. Deer & rabbits eat them down to the roots in 1 night. Tracks told the story. My version is, your battle with the local varmint kong might be tough sledding. They aren't going to stop coming and you can't kill them all (they make more). Ambitious gardeners up this way have some seriously elaborate 'fences' - including a topper for prevention. I just kept putting out 'deer resistant' plants until I found one they wouldn't eat. Took a while. Good Luck A-Jay
  13. So the attendance numbers would remain virtually the same then. ? A-Jay
  14. At 33-33 the Boston Red Sox are 14 games back and in last place the AL East. But they'd be leading the AL Central by 5.5 games. Maybe we could move Fenway to Kentucky. ? A-Jay
  15. Workout 1 for me this morning. Performed 3 working sets of 7 exercises. Showing the last one of each here. My knee seems to be responding well and I'm making incremental improves accordingly. Might even be able to wet a line again tomorrow. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  16. Stock Treble hook replacement can be a slippery slope. This is my version of it from a couple of summers back. A-Jay
  17. Men, real men who are good at being men, aren’t needed anymore in our modern world… until they are. Wolves don’t lose sleep over the opinion of sheep. A-Jay
  18. And there it is ~ CONGRATS to Adrian Avena It's his 1st Bass Pro Tour Win. Seems like it was a long time coming. I'm not a giant fan of bed fishing deals, but I have to admit, raining buckets up here all day and I did enjoy seeing ALL Those Giant Brown Bass. They're on to St Clair in a couple of weeks. A-Jay
  19. That's a bummer ~ ? A-Jay
  20. Oh Boy ~ Avena's got 5 today. Gives him 57-8 for the Championship Hurt myself just typing that. I think that's a 5-12 average WTH ! A-Jay
  21. Adrian Avena only has 4 fish ~ 3-11 lbs back of 1st place. Lots of time left - I think he has the most realistic chance of getting it done. If the conditions change at all, this might already be over. Also, Hope we can find out what hook Spencer Shuffield is using and losing all these fish on. I'd like to peruse my own inventory and if I have any I will be disposing of them directly. Bet it's a Trokar . . . . A-Jay
  22. Thanks, and right back at ya ~ Sprained my knee early May, but I'm getting better day by day. A-Jay
  23. Sure seems like it. So do we think this would be a different story SMB weight wise if they were fishing in say, the end of July ? Bet those 4's would be 'worth' quite a bit more then . . . A-Jay
  24. Lines in and the leader posts up a 6-2. Betting KVD in 10th Really wants this one. Not that he doesn't want every one. A-Jay
