  5. Nicely Done. I was a staunch believer of the long 'old' style transom saver for several years. Worked fine but was definitely a little bit of a PIA to install & remove. Last year took a flyer on the DD26 products - Very happy so far. Especially like the hydraulic steering locks. A-Jay
  6. Using casting gear effectively for me is as much about the rod as it is the reel. My objective is to be 'smooth' throughout the cast. https://youtu.be/8x9A8IP3j7w A-Jay
  7. No FFS on that rig ! A-Jay
  8. For sure and thank you. I've got some things up my sleeve and we'll find out how it goes. Big Fish Jeff will be in the boat with me starting next week. Like you, he's a hammer and the two of us can break down water in half the time. He knows the deal and seems genuinely excited for whatever comes our way. Got to get him a fur bomber hat though. A-Jay
  9. Seems we each live in fairly different worlds, just in population density alone. Not sure we can compare the two. For instance, as of the 2020 census, Shelby County, TN which is 785 sq miles, had a of population of 929,744. It's the largest of the state's 95 counties, both in terms of population and geographic area. I live in Otsego County, MI which has a total area of 526 square miles and is the fifth-smallest county by total area in Michigan. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 25,091. There's over 370 lakes in the county but 37 times Less People. And I like it that way. A-Jay
  10. First off ~ Thank you. Please know I am not on the ledge and do agree with your premise above. I'd be lying if I said that I thought this day would never come. After receiving so much support from members here, I just felt like sharing this was the right thing to do. (despite the embarrassment) Plan on allowing grit & gut instincts drive the train. It's helped me keep my head above water so far and I trust it. A-Jay
  11. I hear ya - Not sure how that's going to go just yet especially since 'the scenery' has always been 'part of it' for me. But since it's just pictures, I can be quite a bit more judicious when it comes to having any super obvious land marks from Lake Morpheus. ? A-Jay

  13. Agreed ~ But the boating traffic alone will relocate these fish. Always does. But hey, more power to them. I'm obviously not the happiest camper right now, but I've still got all 'the tools' and a new born desire to make it all happen again, all be it in a much more clandestine manner. #cloakingdevice A-Jay
  14. Thanks ~ Maybe the anglers fishing Lake Menderchuck in my stead will get all the giants and post something for you. A-Jay
  15. Let's call it like it is. This deal is all of my own doing. People are going to be people. I'm over it and looking forward to future endeavors. A-Jay
  16. These are all public waters so I've never have looked at areas I fish as my spots. Anyone who has tried it, can tell you that there is a considerable chunk of time and effort put into big fish location. All of which I enjoy, take great pride & massive satisfaction in doing; especially when it all comes together. But it's takes a certain inner drive & determination and I'll even add sacrifice, to see even a hint of success. Lakes are big, fish have tails, and they swim all over the place. The chances of being at the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing to catch trophy fish are not good. Unless of course, one follows around the guy who makes it happen. Admittedly, this is all of my own doing and I get it. Accordingly my future endeavors will all be once again, conducted well under the radar. Something else I'm good at. However, I am done leading the boat parade. A-Jay
  17. Got this pre-Spawn fatty very early. She went 5.84 lb and I was pretty pumped. On a separate, kind of sad & final note, this will be my last fishing video posted publicly on you tube. It's been a blast and I'll keep making them for me, but sharing them is no longer an option. Always said once this deal started to adversely affect my fishing, then I'd have to make a decision. Well I just made it. Thanks for the support. Stay Safe & Fish Hard A-Jay
  18. Had a little trout action today ~ A-Jay
  19. World Problems ~ Actions speak louder than words. Always have, always will. I express myself in a manner in which I prefer. Deal with it or not. A-Jay
  20. Workout two this morning. Feeling very grateful not having any physical ailments holding me back. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  21. Sure looks like it ! If you're only going to get one . . . . . A-Jay
  22. Yes it is, and I think I'll need to come up with a new plan. Tank will be 2 at the end of this month and his current girth may mean his passenger days are over. He will not be happy. A-Jay
  23. I have zero fish days all the time - Some trips I sort of expect it, others I do not. Not a fan of those. Either way, sore lipping a bunch of juvenile bass is not something I strive to do. So I don't try and 'salvage' the day by doing it. I'm looking for plus size fish. Sometimes I get them, sometimes I do not. But when I do, you'll see them here. A-Jay
