  3. Total Body 2 this morning. Threw a couple of super sets into this one. Felt pretty good. Sporting the Playoff beard - still needs some time, lots of time. Sure hope we get it. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

  8. "Public Speaking" was part of my job description. What helped me the most was: Knowing my audience (both Small & Large) Knowing the subject matter - Cold. Practice, Practice, and more Practice, in the mirror and / or on video if you have it. (helps Identify and eliminate verbal / physical tics) Being myself. Learning to project my voice. An absolute necessity for a large audience outside. (I was a Drill Instructor for 8 years) Eventually 'nervousness' turned into 'focus'. I miss the adrenaline rush I got from all that. A-Jay
  9. I hear that ~ and I'm 20 years ahead of you. #grandpa A-Jay
  10. Awesome ~ ! Way to take control & responsibility for your own well being. Not sure how far down the road you are, but IME none of this gets any easier with time. Staying healthy is less of a journey vs 'getting healthy' at any age. Keep it rolling. A-Jay
  11. Weather has been such that my off days from training have been fishing days. So I've been able to fish & workout, sticking with the day on & day off deal. Just haven't posted a workout video here in a bit. The fishing is fun but the workouts are why I'm able to, so there's no omitting them for me. Didn't fish this morning so I was back in the home gym for Total Body 1. Modified these to match my energy level, meaning I'm dropping the workouts down a notch. Leaves gas in the tank to fish the next day, like tomorrow for instance. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  12. Nice fish ~ I rarely measure length anymore, so I can't say for sure. If I'm ever lucky enough to get another plus sized smb, I'll measure the length as well as weigh it, so you'll have a reference. Probably safe to say that a 20 inch smallie here might be 5 plus; especially pre-spawners. So @TnRiver46 is probably spot on. @Dwight Hottle might tell you that the Lake Erie fish could even be a little stouter than that. A-Jay
  13. To briefly answer here without overloading this thread, Local water temps are 41-43 degrees but remember these lakes are only a week or so removed from being completely frozen over. Add a healthy Goby population and I'm not sure we can compare the river fish there with what's going on here. Apples & Oranges IMO. Not sure when 'the 'spawn' here is this year as I don't fish it. Finally, I am 'targeting' super early pre-spawn fish that come shallow (relative term) to capitalize on the yellow perch spawn. In a couple of weeks, when the perch are done & move deeper, so do these bass. As for 'more details', there a good bit in my reports/videos and Brown Bass Tools. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/211811-brown-bass-tools-~-questions-answers/ A-Jay

  23. Hello Paul and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  24. When we first moved into our place here 2008, we needed clear some land, build a small dog kennel and make the fenced in 'dog yard'. Most of it my hand. Planted some trees and lots of grass. Here's some before & after shots - took just about 3 years to come in fully. Still a lot of work to keep right. A-Jay
