Your wheelhouse...
At this point, I feel pretty comfortable presenting quite a few baits so it's fairly difficult to select one or two presentations and say they were my wheelhouse. I do like to chunk & wind so that could be as close as I come. However I can easily admit what is Not in my wheel house and probably never will be . . . A Carolina rig and Glide Baits. I'd rather spoon out an eye. A-Jay

Towing with a 1/2 ton truck....
I was just happy that I managed to get a pic while both the truck and boat were clean. Usually it's one or the other. A-Jay

Towing with a 1/2 ton truck....
With the 6.2L, max tow package and a curb weight of just over 4,800 lbs, this GMC is rated at 9,300 lbs. Don't yank quite that much. Like that there's no problem on hills or getting up to ramming speed. Not really a gas sipper though. A-Jay

10 yr bass tracker owner now looking for Lund Renegade 1875
From what I've heard, the Renegade is a sweet rig. I have the Pro-V Bass However there's a few BR forum members who run one. A-Jay

When to stay and when to leave?
Often a tough call but usually an interesting discussion. I had a similar decision to make a couple of days ago on the water. I had been getting bites but had been there a while. Had to decide, should I stay or should I go ? I moved and caught some fish. Then came back to the original area a little while later and caught more fish. While it worked out this time, it doesn't always go like that, at least for me. Depending on the time of the year, I may not leave fish to find fish. Early & late season I will. Mid-summer, I will not. A-Jay

Help me like straight fluorocarbon
Seems you're still working through the transition. Perhaps by adjusting your expectations to align with what FC is, what it does and what it doesn't do, could help. All lines have pros & cons - and these can be perceived differently by each angler. The 'differences' between what you're used to and what you're getting from FC, are what they are. Some bassheads choose to accept them and manage them, feeling that the pro's are worth it. (I am in this group) Other's see the differences as too many cons and choose to not use FC at all; and I respect that. In the end, regardless of the line type used, there are knots tied, casts made and fish caught. Conversely, there can also be lines that break mysteriously, line management issues, and fish lost. When any of that happens, we often look for a reason or something to blame. In my world, it all starts with the decision I make on which type of line to use. After that, it's up to me to know how to use it. If it doesn't workout, it's not the lines fault. YMMV A-Jay

Is my spinnerbait broken?
This ^^^^ @scaleface nailed it. 1. Depth & Speed - can make ALL THE DIFFERENCE. 2. An inaccurate or poor presentation can kill a potential bite 3. Whatever Mr. Spinnerbait was doing, decent chance he's done it before. There's no replacement for experience and the confidence success can bring. A-Jay

Crazy weather lately???
I won't mention The Snow we got over night and are currently enjoying. A-Jay

Any michigan guys here
Despite the current insanity, and I'm including the recent weather patterns in that, since open water it's been tough to string together more than one day on the water at a time. This weekend is a shining example - not a fan of May Snow really or the 50 mph winds. Despite all that, the sporadic trips I have been able to make have yielded a few decent representatives of my favorite target species - The Michigan Brown Bass. Jerkbaits, don't leave home without them. A-Jay

While fairly effective for me, Swim jigs are almost exclusively a post spawn deal for me. Lots of natural patterns in my swim jig box. A-Jay
