Jack Up a Boat/Trailer (How to / Safety / Equipment)
You may get some different response here on what's 'Correct' and what's 'Not". First, trailer jack wheel replacement can be effected while the rig is connected to the hitch on your tow vehicle. When I need to do Trailer wheel or tire mainainance, I use a 3 ton hydraulic floor jack, and Jack Stands My only real safe choice is to lift at the axle, as close to the inside wheels as I can. Jack stands are positioned there. Which reminds me, I'm due for a bearing re-pack & new tires next summer. Good Luck A-Jay

Your Dogs Favourite Toys
Not to hi jack the dog toy thread . . . . @JackstrawIII I can't say for sure what 'will work' for you & your dog. IMO, every deal is different and each owner has his/her own way of living with their animal. The relationship we have with our animals drives most everything IMO. I have had a few dogs that did the same thing, especially early on. I never looked at it as a 'habit', more like a willingness situation. Most dogs, especially by 3 years old, they know what we're all about. They know what we're going to do before we do it. So in this case, the animal is choosing not to give it up. They way we approached it was to reinforce the 'drop it' command' (we use "Leave it"), in the home (not during play at first) over and over. Reward based stuff works for us. Once outside for a fetch game, we bring two balls. Throw one and hold the second. When he returns with the first one, make him sit & stay while showing him the second ball. Tell him to leave it, once he does pick it up (very important) and then throw the second ball. That's his reward. Then do it all over again exactly the same way every time. Being patient is key, never chase him, ever and stay cool calm & collected. Never frustrated. When he does it right, we make a big deal out of it. Also the dog is expending a ton of energy during this play, I always try to match it with my own enthusiasm. It's got to be fun for both of us. Bottom line not every dog/breed is a retriever. Some dogs are perfectly content just grabbing the ball and running around with it. But IME, with some time & effort, most of them will come around. Have Fun. Your Dogs Favourite Toys
Playing with one dog at a time and with only One ball helps them keep focused on the task. Adding dogs and more ball can have them playing with each other rather than me. Which is fine and we do both. But one on one, especially that first year or so, seems important. And pays off later down the line. A-Jay

Working to Stay Lean ~
After 10 weeks on the 4 Day Giant Set program, I've switched back to the 5 day split with standard reps/sets. I eased into it with Day 1 and it went well. Interested to see where it goes from here. Completed 3 working sets of the 5 scheduled movements and I'm showing the last 2 sets of each here. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

A slow start, but then....
While I appreciate the vote of confidence, I am not really close to cracking the "catch Them All" code. There are almost always a few that get dumped every season. I just hate when I get a good look at them before they go. Those seem to be the ones that haunt. https://youtu.be/yfnYSE-HjIE?feature=shared&t=887 A-Jay

can you fish where you work? office?
I used to before I retired. Having the The North Atlantic as an office offers a wide range of fishing opportunities. Sort of a fringe benefit I guess. A-Jay

Green pumpkin/ black blue color baits
I am Not a minimalist ~ not even close. But I do fish GP, BB and the combo GPB. For example, I use the trailers above on the wiggle wagon. (can't use the actual term) For me it goes like this: When they'll eat GP, they'll usually eat GPB too. When they'll eat BB, they'll usually eat GPB too. When their eating GPB, I just keep fishing it. A-Jay

Working to Stay Lean ~
After a cold & mostly wet day on the water yesterday, I was back in the home gym for Giant Set Workout Day 4. I felt pretty good going into it and even better after knocking this one out. Some Days I don't really feel like I'm 65 years old. This was one of those days. I like them. Time for a few days off and then I'll be switching up my training. More to follow. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

Cleaning your washing machine...
We fill the machine's 'Bleach' dispenser with distilled white vinegar Every Load. (we Rarely ever use bleach) Keep any thing from ever 'building' up. And rinses completely out of whatever is being washed. Clothes come out clean & fresh smelling every time. A-Jay
