  1. Probably not for the one you're looking for. A-Jay
  2. My time is valuable, so I choose to use it to hunt Big Brown bass not bargains. Besides, once I made these purchases, saving 35 cents on a pack of Robo Worms didn't really mean much. A-Jay
  3. Thanks - I left myself Plenty of room to improve. Needles to say that one is Not a candidate for the State vs State thread. Still felt good to float around again though. A-Jay
  4. Accesses are opening up slowly but surely one at a time. Got out for the first time today. Air temps in the 30's to start and water temps barely 40 and dirty. I was so afraid I was going to miss the early bite but now I'm thinking maybe not. In the end, nothing came easy today. Worked hard for a dozen 2-3 lb smallies. But I was glad to have them. All on jerkbaits Won't be able to get out again till next week. A-Jay
  5. Not exactly a tackle tester and it only took me 4 1/2 months, but I'm finally on the board for 2025. A-Jay
  6. Just dropped the Pro-V Bass on to the GMC hitch. Man I forgot how much I loved that sound. Cold & windy, hoping for the sun to peak out a few times. Either way . . . I'm going fishing ! Finally A-Jay
  7. Just located a double secret Lake Menderchuck that has OPEN to the public boating access. It's a hike but I think I'm going to give it a shot. Next 2 days weather are semi-fisherman friendly. I might not sleep much tonight. Oh boy ~ Here we go ! A-Jay
  8. Fortunately I have the tools, skill & ability to bring it back. So we'll see how it goes. Just picked up 'several' bags of seed. As for the stumps, I'm leaving them. I need a place to sit down and rest. Plus Tank likes them At least I won't be chasing around nearly as many leaves ! A-Jay
  9. You are correct Sir. And an 8 lb plus fish does sound so very nice. A-Jay
  10. Rained Hard over night here. So I took advantage of the 'softened soil' (relative term) and put the Drag Rake to work. Tree removal rigs (Bobcats and Bucket trucks) made really nice deep tire 'tracks' in what used to be some healthy green grass. First step is to level the ground. Done. I'll start the clod & clump clean up later today & tomorrow. Looking forward to the 'after' pics. However, it might be a few years before any of that action. A-Jay
  11. And the Quest for 7 lb Brown Bass continues . . . A-Jay
  12. Great bass being posted here recently. Congrats I can't get on the water here - ramps are all closed with no end in site. Not sure I will make it before going completely Postal ! A-Jay
  13. That sounds amazing. Did they have cameras back then ? A-Jay
  14. Giant Set Workout Day 2 on this Sunday morning. Despite sucking a little more wind than I'd prefer, I managed to grind through training session number 50 for 2025. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  15. Remembering my Dad today. 20 April was his birthday - in 1927. 🙁 A-Jay
  16. Anything not in my boat. A-Jay
  17. @Don Harris I can't imagine a bait that does not get bites from big brown bass being one of my favorites. Any thing in that category, is probably not even in the boat. Either way, my arsenal size makes it a little tricky choosing just 3 favorites. But after quite a bit of deliberation, and just because the strikes are almost always awesome, I am going with a spinnerbait burned just under the surface, a bladed jig fished slowly on the bottom and of course. A Jerkbait. I'm exhausted. A-Jay
  18. Can't honestly say MOST durable. But feel quite confident saying this one is Very Durable and a most decent reel too. Shimano Stradic FM Spinning Reel ~ A-Jay
  19. Giant Set Workout Day 1 this morning. GoPro decided not to record any audio on this one. Not a fan . Training went well despite the electronic glitch. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  20. First off, IME, it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to fish a vision 110 totally Wrong. So get that out of your head. As long as the bait is doing some moving and some pausing, you are good to go. Now it's time for the factors that matter. Like water clarity, water temperature, is there bait around, is there any cover present (rocks/weeds) Water depth you're fishing, time of day you're fishing, conditions you're fishing in - sunny, flat calm, windy, cloudy - this stuff matters. Just because you moved around doesn't mean you've found the fish. Doesn't matter if your jerkbait does back flips if there isn't a bass around for 1/2 mile. Still means no bites. Note the stuff listed above in the places you've not contacted bass - call that eliminated water. And don't fish that stuff again. Look for something else or perhaps places you've caught fish early season before. Then duplicate that best you can. Good Luck A-Jay
  21. IMO. You need no change with how you're fishing. But there's a decent chance you need to change where & when. Good Luck A'Jay
  22. Took a while but I finally got the weather to clean this past winter off the GMC. Little before & after action I do feel better. A-Jay
  23. R I P @RoLo A-Jay
  24. I always look forward to your reports after fishing that lake. You've had some killer days feeding those fish that spinner bait. Good Luck. and thanks for adding on here. It's Like we have our own thread going. A-Jay
