  1. Good Luck & Thanks ~ We'll be needing to keeping a nose to the grind stone here for a while. https://www.facebook.com/ThePAWZ/posts/pfbid03yto3vsuewgQ7SwBFgpeWEt8M9Zw5QCYjCZ6PqaENYx1GUgKPFaQx9RFe2AAAvQJl A-Jay

Oh man, TM just dumped one. Looked stout too. 😎 A-Jay
  3. Mentioned this is the other work boot thread. We've been using Sno-Seal for a long time. Protects our leather boots from rain, sun, snow, and salt. Simple, safe and effective. A-Jay

LOL- Beat me to it ! I was coming here to say perhaps there's a Mr Jingles in every boat. 😃 A-Jay
  5. Stepped into the home gym for Workout Day 2 today, a little ticked off. By the time I was done, that was just about gone. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

My service footwear where & when boots were required, was always Danner. (In Black) Saltwater can do a number on unconditional footwear. We used Sno-Seal regularly. A-Jay
  7. The clean up and repair of the wide spread destruction of our property at the hands of the early April Ice storm, has moved to the front of our priority line, placing any fishing days somewhere else down the list. Only been out on the water a few times and that less fishing trend, is bound to continue for some time. Might be able to do a few shorter local trips but long distance hikes are not in the cards right now. Realistically, August might be the next time I get a shot at any more trophy Brown Bass. Still hoping to float around and get my line pulled a few times between now & then, but when I look at what we had here before the storm, compared to what we've got going on now, it's depressing. We've been hacking away at it daily, but some days it seems like a drop in the bucket. Going to be some time before I can come to grips with just what a jacked up scene this whole deal has turned out to be. Still waiting for my insurance company to give us back some of that $$$ we've been faithfully throwing their way for the past 25 years. More to follow 🙁 A-Jay
  8. You may get some different response here on what's 'Correct' and what's 'Not". First, trailer jack wheel replacement can be effected while the rig is connected to the hitch on your tow vehicle. When I need to do Trailer wheel or tire mainainance, I use a 3 ton hydraulic floor jack, and Jack Stands My only real safe choice is to lift at the axle, as close to the inside wheels as I can. Jack stands are positioned there. Which reminds me, I'm due for a bearing re-pack & new tires next summer. Good Luck A-Jay
  9. Not to hi jack the dog toy thread . . . . @JackstrawIII I can't say for sure what 'will work' for you & your dog. IMO, every deal is different and each owner has his/her own way of living with their animal. The relationship we have with our animals drives most everything IMO. I have had a few dogs that did the same thing, especially early on. I never looked at it as a 'habit', more like a willingness situation. Most dogs, especially by 3 years old, they know what we're all about. They know what we're going to do before we do it. So in this case, the animal is choosing not to give it up. They way we approached it was to reinforce the 'drop it' command' (we use "Leave it"), in the home (not during play at first) over and over. Reward based stuff works for us. Once outside for a fetch game, we bring two balls. Throw one and hold the second. When he returns with the first one, make him sit & stay while showing him the second ball. Tell him to leave it, once he does pick it up (very important) and then throw the second ball. That's his reward. Then do it all over again exactly the same way every time. Being patient is key, never chase him, ever and stay cool calm & collected. Never frustrated. When he does it right, we make a big deal out of it. Also the dog is expending a ton of energy during this play, I always try to match it with my own enthusiasm. It's got to be fun for both of us. Bottom line not every dog/breed is a retriever. Some dogs are perfectly content just grabbing the ball and running around with it. But IME, with some time & effort, most of them will come around. Have Fun. 10. Playing with one dog at a time and with only One ball helps them keep focused on the task. Adding dogs and more ball can have them playing with each other rather than me. Which is fine and we do both. But one on one, especially that first year or so, seems important. And pays off later down the line. A-Jay
  11. Same here ~ Chuck it ball launcher is THE GAME Besides the regular units, THE Chuckit Whistler Ball is a fan favorite too. A-Jay
  12. After 10 weeks on the 4 Day Giant Set program, I've switched back to the 5 day split with standard reps/sets. I eased into it with Day 1 and it went well. Interested to see where it goes from here. Completed 3 working sets of the 5 scheduled movements and I'm showing the last 2 sets of each here. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  13. While I appreciate the vote of confidence, I am not really close to cracking the "catch Them All" code. There are almost always a few that get dumped every season. I just hate when I get a good look at them before they go. Those seem to be the ones that haunt. https://youtu.be/yfnYSE-HjIE?feature=shared&t=887 A-Jay

  15. Nicely Done. Those bass are nothing if not stout. Your Pal is a fortune and generous human. Congrats A-Jay
  16. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ I also grew up in Mass, Middlesex county too. That was half a century ago. I could never go back. A-Jay
  17. I used to before I retired. Having the The North Atlantic as an office offers a wide range of fishing opportunities. Sort of a fringe benefit I guess. A-Jay
  18. Wow - What a giant ! Congrats on matching your PB. So does that count as two PB's ? Nicely Done. That's one heck of a fertile fishery. btw- even though your entry fee has been duly paid a few times over now, feel free to cast A-Bombs my way as the mood strikes you. A-Jay
  19. Un-Real ! I missed the last of the live show but, MLF just put out the last 7 minutes of this one. Hard to imagine a wilder ending. I couldn't even make that deal up. Pretty Intense . . . A-Jay
  20. Are you in the Four C Club (CCCC)? Not sure. But I'm working on it just in case. A-Jay
  21. That looks like me when I'm adding up a TW order ~ A-Jay
  22. I am Not a minimalist ~ not even close. But I do fish GP, BB and the combo GPB. For example, I use the trailers above on the wiggle wagon. (can't use the actual term) For me it goes like this: When they'll eat GP, they'll usually eat GPB too. When they'll eat BB, they'll usually eat GPB too. When their eating GPB, I just keep fishing it. A-Jay
  23. After a cold & mostly wet day on the water yesterday, I was back in the home gym for Giant Set Workout Day 4. I felt pretty good going into it and even better after knocking this one out. Some Days I don't really feel like I'm 65 years old. This was one of those days. I like them. Time for a few days off and then I'll be switching up my training. More to follow. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
