Such a good idea to throw in random commercials. Like watching an important football game. There's 2 minutes left in the 4th, very close game. It's 4th & goal on the 2 yard line - they are about to snap the ball . . . But wait . . . time for a Depends Commercial. WTH ! ☹️ A-Jay

For me, tube's are fished most effectively on a hard bottom with almost and kind of cover with the exception of perhaps dense weed. Additionally, my tube fishing is done when I have the fishes position mostly narrowed done. I'm not poking around looking for bites with a tube. A-Jay

Might come down to bottom composition. A-Jay
  4. Weather and the work list are both pointing towards Monday for an afternoon trip out onto Lake Menderchuck. Forecast is looking a little sporty with some wind, but it's 'the right kind'. Which often makes all the difference in the world. I'll admit it, I'm a little pumped. A-Jay
  5. Practice Practice Practice. Sun, rain and dark of night. I barely even think about "what' I need to do any more. I just do it. This is what that looks like. A-Jay
  6. Congrats and Awesome Pic! A-Jay
  7. I have some idea of what you're describing, but it sounds like you may be next level from where I'm at. Not sure how long it's going to take to complete, but do you think we could get some before & after pics. Might help inspire me to get with the program myself. Pretty sure I need it too. A-Jay

For the past few years anyway, I post up a few of my favorites from that past season. They change a bit here & there, but there's always some staples. Fishing exclusively for Brown Bass in the North Woods. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/263885-productive-baits-2024-edition/ A-Jay
  9. Still loving the open water experience ~ A-Jay
  10. Giant Set Workout Day 4 this time. When I'm doing this correctly, the total body warm up I do before each of these training sessions, is thorough and takes a little bit longer than the workout itself. Super important. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  11. Me too.. I also use these on the smaller stuff. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000IBSFPS?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2 A-Jay
  12. Nope not snow, but plenty of downed trees ! CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY. 🤪 A-Jay
  13. Oh my, please excuse my mistake. I'll go with one my Dad used to tell me all the time growing up. "If you had half a brain, you'd be dangerous". He was so supportive. A-Jay
  14. Turns out it wasn't bad . . . A-Jay
  15. Public access finally opened here. After looking at the weather forecast, seemed the wind would be down but I'd be dodging rain squals all afternoon. Went for it anyway and I'm glad I did. Ride across the lake was killer (love the big open water) and once I got settled into my first spot, I was treated to several medium sized pike. And I mean cast after cast after cast. It was non stop for a while. I said treated in jest - it is not a treat pulling 3 trebles out of 25 pike. Only saw 2 dink smallies so I moved. Not much at place two. Decided to return to where I started, just a couple of yards away from Pikeville. Good Move. I was rewarded with a beauty of a 5 lb class fish. Man that felt good. Especially after the crazy winter we just had. I made a short video because - why not ? It picks up after I relocated. Enjoy. I surely did. A-Jay
  16. @Dwight Hottle is always a tough act to follow, but I've got to start some where . . . Got my best brown bass so far at 5-5.28 That's 5.33 divided by MI record 9.98 gets me to 53.40. Still some room to grow I think A-Jay
  17. Lake Menderchuck in the rain this afternoon. First Grown fish of the year. A-Jay
  18. Compared to what you're routinely doing now, place LESS Trailer in the lake. It will correct 2 challenges. 1. Your rigs will not 'float' to an incorrect position. 2. The trailer will guide your right to the correct position as it's designed. Regardless of how the trailer is angled at the ramp, when the trailer is too deep, bad things happen. Find the sweet spot, for my rig it's when the fenders are 1 inch out of the water. When the ramp is tilted I keep one side 2 inches above the water. But one way deep never works smoothly. A-Jay
  19. Crushed a ton of yard clean up today after my workout. Frees me up to be on the water tomorrow. Plans are for an afternoon trip out on to Lake Menderchuck Actual. Might be good . . . . . A-Jay

what is your local lure and most importantly, why does it work for you where and when you fish? Not certain I have a 'local' lure. Pretty sure that most everything I some have success with here, would do the same in other places under similar conditions. Never hurts to be putting our baits in places that have feeding fish present. A-Jay
