  1. One of the very few decorative plants the deer and rabbits don't eat right to the ground. A-Jay
  2. Completed Giant Set Workout Day 1. Starting to acclimate to the 50 degrees in the home gym as well inspiring glow of the oil lamp. Hope we get power back soon. A-Jay
  3. There's some of that in our side yard. We call it our European Meadow. A-Jay
  4. APRIL 6, 2025 RESTORATION UPDATE TODAY'S PROGRESS: Day9 no power yet. ✅To put things in perspective: our construction teams typically replace about 800 poles each year. In the last three days alone, we’ve replaced that same number. The damage is staggering, but our teams are making meaningful progress—always with safety as the top priority. ✅The 1,100-person Storm Camp is setup at the Otsego County Fairgrounds in Gaylord, MI, and is now fully operational. This provides housing, food, and laundry facilities for crews who have traveled from across the country to help with our rebuild. ✅We restored power to nearly 12,000 members since yesterday morning, including the Munson Health Clinic on M-32 in Elmira, as well as primary lines that support our infrastructure to get power to your families. ✅It is important to note that this is not just a restoration effort, we are rebuilding significant parts of our service area with new poles, wires, transformers, and equipment. Since yesterday, 190 new poles have been set, and 27 new transformers installed. ✅We have more than 800 outage events, each impacting a different number of members. Each one of these outages must be repaired before power can be restored. ✅More than 1,200 contractors are now working alongside our 300 dedicated employees. Even if you don’t see crews on your road, know that they are out there—rebuilding our system and pushing forward until everyone is restored. ✅We continue to be thankful for the support from local, state, and federal partners rallying behind our efforts. Their support and help to get our communities restored is vital and we appreciate all they do for Michigan. A-Jay
  5. At this point 'fish' would be an upgrade ! #gagamaggot 🤭 A-Jay
  6. No. I could not enjoy my time on the water if my property was trashed. I prefer to pull up to my place and be proud of the way it looks. Reality is, it's not much, but it's well kept. Sometimes I have help. A-Jay
  7. Downer. Get her next time. Nice Bass ~ Pretty sure we'll be seeing that scale again. Either way, 52's great place to start. Congrats A-Jay
  8. Lots of great bass being posted in the Latest Catch Pictures Thread. Big Congrats for that. Sadly none by me yet, but that could change. Either way, consider adding a few up in this one. So go ahead, call me a loser and represent your state. A-Jay
  9. 3/8 &1/2 EVO mini Half dozen of each, two colors. Looking forward to some of this action. A-Jay
  10. Latest and greatest is set up and ready to get down to business. A-Jay
  11. Checked out local Lake Menderchuck again this morning. Seems like maybe 30 % open water. Normally my left eye would start to twitch a little, but the State Parks / DNR put out a "no public access until further notice" notification yesterday. So all State and DNR parks and access points up north here, at least the ones I'd be looking to fish are closed. They did mention that they are working to clear the Down trees and debris which is the main problem. Still got a shot at open water on or by the 11th. Just not sure if I will be able to safely launch the Lund or nor. With no power here for going on 8 days, no clue what the status of the boat batteries might be. Either way, I am planning on loading the gear and preparing the trailer starting tomorrow. The madness continues. A-Jay
  12. Thank you for your sacrifice and service. Sorry you got hurt but glad you did your best to overcome it. Now keep it going the rest of your life. Stay Strong. A-Jay
  13. Completed Giant Set Workout Day 4 today Went as well as could be expected under the current circumstances. I would also like to mention in passing that it takes a certain level of commitment to hit the home gym every other day (alone) and put in an effort that will actually make a difference and not simply go through the motions. Now add training in a 47 degree dark space. Seems sort of demented. The results make it worth it. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  14. Next week we'll begin clearing out what looks like a war zone. 50 plus downed trees. Our property will never be the same. Well, at least not in my life time. Expect at least 2-3 weeks of work and plenty of out if pocket expenses. Stay Safe. A-Jay
  15. That was probably Dick Hertz from Holden or Mr Hugh Janis. Wow, I am very bored. A-Jay
  16. Yes ~ Especially if he's on the phone with Scott Martin. 🤓 A-Jay

  18. Running a few errands while charging puts that gas to pretty good use.
  19. And this is what it's come to. Our GMC is not only a fine mode of all terrain transportation, but pulls triple duty as a satellite wifi hot spot and max load recharging station. Just finished a week with no power and there is no reasonable estimate as to when that might change. Good Times. A-Jay
  20. Sad to hear this @Catt. An accurate diagnosis isn't always the best news, but at least we know what we're dealing with. Not knowing can be pretty frustrating and down right scarey. Chemotherapy side effects can vary from person to person. Some common ones include big time fatigue, hair loss, nausea and a compromised immune system. Recommend getting ahead of the ones you can. Rest is big, try to eat when you can, nausea meds can help. Follow doctors orders to a tee. And most of all please remember we all have made respect for you and are truely wishing for the very best outcome. A-Jay

Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  22. Might depend on what it is and who made it. If it's Scuppy's Gumby Mono, I might toss it. However if it's a quality product that's been kept in a climate controlled space void of ultraviolet light, might be OK. Finally if it's Tstsu, you should probably go ahead and send it right to me for proper disposal. After all, I am the Self designated Tatsu recycling center for the Tri site area. A-Jay

  24. After making "our plan", we managed to get in touch with Harmony Tree removal. Quite a lucky break as most of these services, which are coming from everywhere, including out of state, are Booked Big Time. These gents were working up the road as they went by, Lynn flagged them down. Good guys, took plenty of time with us to discuss our options as far are what to do and how to do it. We had already talked to our insurance company USAA, and knew we were covered. Still waiting on the final quote but when all is said and done our property will be void of every tree not a pine and it's A Lot. Still no power here. We'll be ready but the dogs 🐕 will not. 😎 A-Jay
  25. Took my first 'official' recon ride over to local Lake Menderchuck this morning. Just to see. Well despite the total Zero access to anything close to the water, there's actually a slither of open water YEE-HAA. So good to see especially with a natural disaster not even close to being remotely resolved. So I just ignored all the downed power poles and power lines and trees littering the landscape, and smiled at what's about to become once again. Reality. Big Brown bass. The 11th might be a thing. A-Jay
