Dedicated 5” Senko casting rod … ?
If the Loomis Conquest 842C is anything like my old GLX 842C senko chuckin’ machine only better, I’d like to add to my earlier post

Dedicated 5” Senko casting rod … ?
Personally I’d keep it simple and go with a Daiwa Steez AGS Casting Rod 7' Med-Med Hvy-SMT. Good luck with your decision @0351 and good fishing

Lost my dad..advice?
Sorry for your loss @JMac603 and your family’s. I wish there were some words of wisdom that could provide some comfort we all search for in these times. I know I did. All one can do is move forward to honor the memories and lessons learned while sharing them with those willing to listen.

Eating while fishing
While fishing I’ll bring plenty of water, Power Aid, maybe a bottle of ice tea and a can of Red Bull for the drive home. As for something to eat, I’ve finally found something I can keep in my freezer, throw in the boat’s cooler at 0400 and be a perfect snack around 1030 that I can finish off in 3 or 4 bites. Then I find out my kids were eating these things for school lunches for years…

What happened to the road trips!??
Not sure @BassinSoldier, but it’s possible the Pandemic had a lot to do with the Bass Resource road trips fading out. I remember reading about BR members stating they were on their way from where they lived, whether they were towing a boat or not, the great times fishing and like you said the “fellowship” of finally meeting other members. The BR Road Trips sounded like a great event that be fun to attend in the future. Maybe 2024 would be the year of the next Bass Resource Road Trip event.

Should I keep it the way it is, fix it, or replace it all?
Fix it and see how it works out@Ryanralston07, after all Delta bought you a new 7’4” rod to replace the one that was broken. A new reel might be needed as well ?

Ranger Trailer
A dual axel Ranger Trail trailer from White River Marine would be the ticket. It’s not the most inexpensive option @stewa107 but it’s the correct one for a 22 year old Ranger boat. Good luck with your decision

Braid-to-leader on a bait-casting rig?
@DaubsNU1 , I’ve been using 20 or 30 pound PowerPro in Hi-Vis yellow to a Seaguar or Sunline fluorocarbon leader on my senko baitcasting rods for a few years now. I appreciate the visual cues of the yellow line as well as the sensitivity of the braid in bite detection especially during low light conditions.
