Congrats @The Baron on your new ride. I am also in the camp of a trolling motor with spot lock, which I use a heck of a lot more than my power poles. I’m sure you’re also considering upgrading your battery power situation in preparation for the electronics upgrade. Again, congrats and great fishing!

Do you still have OG reels in your rotation?
I currently am preparing to clean up one of my TD Zillions, put some oil on the bearings and install a fresh set of Carbontex drag washers. It was instilled in me at a young age “if you take care of your equipment, it will take care of you“ and for me it continues to ring true. I still can’t seem to stop using my OG Curados.

Do you still have OG reels in your rotation?
OG- Original Gangster and as a term of respect. OG" is an abbreviation for "original gangster" or "original".It's a slang term that originated in the 1970s in Los Angeles gang culture. Today, it's used more generally to describe someone or something that's authentic, exceptional, or "old-school".

Polarized Fishing Sunglasses
@wdp, I did use my insurance to purchase the Costas, I believe our sight is be valued and good, quality sunglasses are important. Just wanted to say the difference between new Costa lenses and new glasses was almost $300.00, kind of a no brainer. And don’t think I didn’t just buy a couple of Costa croakies/lanyards before the new sunglasses have arrived, just some more insurance.

Polarized Fishing Sunglasses
Interesting timing @wdp as I just dealt with a similar situation. This past summer after a day of fishing I had my prescription Costas resting on the front of my baseball hat. As I was getting out of my truck I looked down and my sunglasses fell off my head and landed lens down, ear pieces up on the asphalt scratching the lenses. The optometrist at LensCrafters said the lenses were beyond repair and the frames were warped due to heat. Wait, what!?, my question was they’re sunglasses and should be able to handle being in the sun and periodic triple digit heat. I was surprised to hear this happens frequently. Long story short, as @Smirak mentioned above it was way more cost effective to buy a new set of Costa glasses (frames and progressive lenses) than buying the lenses and installing them in an existing frame. And that was the route I went because I personally believe Costas are the best sunglasses for me on and off the water.

Hello @normanaj from Northern California, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums!- Hello from British Columbia
Hello @C.Tucks from Northern California, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums! I’ve been to British Columbia some time ago to enjoy your beautiful country and great fishing at Lake Quesnel and the Skenna River. Again, welcome to BR.- Drop shot using braid with no leader?
The type of cover (tules) I was saying the technique is very suited for @OkobojiEagle. When it comes to the braid, the surprising thing is the fish aren’t line shy.- Drop shot using braid with no leader?
If you can chuck a jig in there @OkobojiEagle, you can throw a drop shot and be just as effective targeting specific pieces of cover.- Hello from Central PA
^ nice ride @billm6767 and hello from Northern California! Welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums- Road To The Superbowl 2025
It’s also quite possible Campbell said “you’ll be on a golf course in two weeks.” I’m good with how the Rams dominated that game. Their fans and the citizens of Los Angeles needed a win and something to cheer about to take minds off the ongoing devastating fire event of this past week. #LASTRONG- New Year
Happy New Year Bass Resource! - Hello from Alabama
