  6. Yup, I had to do it! Finally got around to it and gonna replace/retire some of my old workhorse green Curados with these. Should be fun!
  7. Riazuli, I think you made the right call in pairing the K with a Curado rod.
  8. Congratulations on the new addition to your family riverbasser. As a young young father, I remember fishing less but appreciating the opportunities more. Now that I’m fortunate enough to be retired, I try to fish at least once a week.
  9. Glad all’s well Michael, the fishing will always be there. Granted, you’ll probably appreciate it more right when that first cast hits the water and one pulls your string! As for all that rain fellas, we haven’t seen much of anything for close to a month so if you could redirect it out west....
  10. Scotty, your situation has kinda piqued my interest. You mention above the “small trail of old road that went into my land for 21 years” which kinda sounds like an easement in my opinion. I also would have to ask when was the last time a land survey was done by the county as this might be of help. I ran into a situation similar to yours some time ago where a NEW property owner blocked an easement to adjoining properties of a long time resident. The county hadn’t conducted a survey in over 75 years for various reasons. Long story short, after the survey was done the person blocking access found out his garage and about a 10 foot width along the easement of what he thought was his property really belonged to his neighbor. I wish you well with this as it may take a little time to work out. Hopefully you’ll be able access your property and at least fish, if not hunt as you intended.
  11. I’m going to say you’re a black bass savant and you brought out the foodie in some Tom!
  12. I’d like to make it on one of these trips. Hope you all get on em and it’s a safe and successful trip!
  13. Looks like you have a very accomplished future team partner Catt!
  14. Glad you could enjoy a trip to Florida and stick a good one for a new PB! Hope your trip is a little bit longer so you can get into a few more like that!
  15. Great afternoon of fishing Mike, must have been a fun few minutes getting all that line back! And I’m a guessing the big girl didn’t make it on that stringer...
  16. X2- definitely a cleaner game and made the plays when they had to
  17. My relatives in Washington told me there’s a clinical term for it... SAD or Seasonal Affective Disorder.
  18. Thank you sir!
  19. Wish we could work out a trade.
  20. Wow guys, reading your posts makes me appreciate the weather out here. 75-78 degrees for the next two weeks or so in my neck of the woods. BTW, when I’m out on the boat fishing I can see the snow on the Sierras and remember back in the day all those weekends skiing. If it helps, I think Phil is gonna be wrong...
  21. Congratulations Michael, I’m sure you’ll be early, ready to go! I think your co-workers and customers will find you knowledgeable and an asset to the company. Much success to you.
  22. The tule fog lifted, the sun came out and a friend and I were able to get out on the water with favorable conditions. The weather forecast is showing no rain for the foreseeable future this February, which means a lot of good fishing days. My first decent fish of 2018 was this 4.2lb largemouth.
  23. Great effort, you did yourselves and UVW proud! Good luck to you both in your next tourney!
  24. Fish on LMB, as TnRiver46 mentioned, I’d have to agreed this time of year 20-30 foot range along bluff walls and points might be the place to start. And the dam was always very good in the late afternoon. I know a jig, especially spider jigs work well there for bigger bites. I haven’t been there in a while, but the fishing can be very good. Good lucking let us know how you did, JB
  25. I don’t know why you couldn’t do both, that’s what I’d do. The game doesn’t start ‘til shortly after 1500 PST (please adjust to your local time zone), so you can go have a day on the water. The best part is missing all the pregame talking heads and be back for food and football. Weather in my neck do the woods is supposed to be in the 70’s (So Cal was upper 80’s yesterday) this weekend so things are looking good...
