bearings and drag washers
I agree that the stock bearings are just fine in most all reels with proper maintenance. As for the drag, I just recently bought Carbontex upgrades for my Daiwa Sols, Alphas, and Pixy. Unlike bearings, they are cheap and easy to install. I've never had trouble my stock drags but the Daiwas tend to stutter and I have noticed a difference since upgrading. I wouldn't imagine needing to upgrade the Revo drag, isn't that one of the big selling points? No experience with the mg but I have found my Patriarchs drag to be more than adequate and I think they're similar to the JM Sig Series but don't hold me to that.

Dobyns Savvy/Duckett Micro Magic
I have two Savvys and really like them, prefer them over comparable rods I own like the Kistler Mag TS and Powell Max. I haven't used the Duckett rods but iv seen quiet a few break and the fact that the epoxy yellows very fast is just a turn off for me, they just look nasty and cheap. I don't know how they preform but if I'm dropping any money on a rod, I gotta like how it looks.

1st Baitcaster purchase
I have a Citica and a Quantum Code, both great reels. I've had 2 revo s reels, IMO there are way better options, both were stiff and didn't cast very well. of those I have had, I'd say go with the Citica, great reel and the Shimano VBS is one if not the best centrifugal braking systems made. Once you get it set right, it can be very good to you. I know that recommending Shimano pigeon holds you but I'm far from a fan boy, I have reels form all the manufacturers that matter (Daiwa, Shimano, Pflueger, and Abu). I have really found myself to gravitate toward Daiwa and Shimano. The PQ would be a great choice though. I don't have one but have fished a lefty, for a minute, it's not for me. It feels, casts, and retrieves very well. The dual braking is a great starter tool, have two Patriarchs and a Supreme, over time it's pretty much added weight but comes in handy in a pinch without the hassle of opening up the reel.

Bucoo good for jerkbaiting?
I would see no problem. I do however prefer a faster action for jerkbaits. My cranking and jerkbait setups are separate.

Speaking of relaxing music, when I drive I like to have my iPod play thunderstorms. Talk about relaxing driving and thunder ! 8-) your profile says you're 15- the Dyatlov Pass incident
what does Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus have to do with this? :-? beats me- the Dyatlov Pass incident
MRSA is there too- Nook or Kindle?
a guy at work uses a Kindle and seems to really like it, I'd prefer something that does a little more- Need advice on rod/reel combo, under $225, for soft plastics
I would go that route and pick up a Curado, it's well worth it's price- Pencil bait in the Lews speed lures by bass pro shops
I have one, can't get it to walk right, it sits vertical in the water with it's head just above.- Mid Level Rod Brands
I love my Zillion rods, 7'M and 7'MH, they are ver light and sensitive but the powers are a little off. My 7'MH is rated for the same as a Powell or Dobyns H. They actions are very fast and stiff, well suited for most everything but cranks.- Reel seat issue on Dobyns...
Bass Pro reel seats are the worst I've ever seen for this, especially spinning rods and casting rods without front grips- Post some fishing love (Photo Thread)
- Sufix Promix
It says it's a monofilament on the label, as for fishing it, I have no idea, never heard of it until you posted.- Medium Liught rod question
I'd go with the M Excel, I've heard very good things about it- Post a photo a day!
A little Photoshop Express for iPhone- Now this is sharp...
I do like the flat knob on the Patriarch but it the Supreme's knob is anything like the Stradic CI4, it should be very comfortable. If I buy one, this will be the combo Japanese Version - Post a song your feeling/why
