  1. Saw it in theaters and probably will get it soon, just plain great. For those who haven't seen it, you must.
  2. I'm pretty happy with Powell and Damiki right now, we'll see how it goes when I get my new Dobyns though.
  3. I have a 7'MH Kistler Magnesium, it's labeled the "small swimbait special" but now it's called the "senko special", either way it feels a bit weak for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits, anything above 1/2oz seems to bog it down. This may not be the case for the 6'9'' but just letting you know. The 7'H Magnesium seems better suited for chatterbaits and spinnerbaits. I used to have a 6'9''MH Carrot Stix which would be great for you're intended purposes but got rid of it because I found myself using my 7'MH Avid more for those intended purposes.
  4. PUT THE SQUEEZE ON 'EM http://www.citrusstick.com
  5. You could also add shreds of wood to the blank from recycled violins and have "fiddle stix".
  6. http://www.***.com/descpageHARDRAPALA-RXR.html 3-8'
  7. I own Daiwa, Shimano, Quantum, Pflueger, and Abu reels. It's hard for me to say which is my favorite but I'm probably going for Shimano and Daiwa. I have no problem with the other companies but I tend to use my Sol and Curado 200e5 more so than anything else in my arsenal. I also carry my Zillion and 200e7's alot more than my Energy and Patriarchs.
  8. yep, the 30 is close to the 2500 shimano or 20 in quantum
  9. Is this when they have their reel trade-in ? yep
  10. Because he would end up at a cricket match in North Dakota.
  11. I use a 7'MH Lucky Craft Cranking Rod
  12. 5.2 should be fine, I would go for the lower only if you are throwing 16+ for extended periods of time.
  13. I have a 2500 CI4 paired with a 7'M Damiki Dark Angel and really like them together. It's light, sensitive, balances well, and looks really good with the Stradic.
  14. Same here in KY. Last year P-line CXX got down to $3 a box for 6, 8, 17, and 20lb, the 10, 12, and 14lb were $5. Needless to say, I have a stock pile of 8, 10, and 12lb in moss green. I'll have to stop by and check ours out, the fishing section is pretty lacking though :-/ .
  15. yes, either on the belly or back
  16. I organize mine be depth and then by bill shape.
  17. don't tell every one, that just makes for more bidding competition. I too have gotten great deals from them, we probably have bid against each other. I have gotten a Patriarch, 2 Sols, Energy, Zillion, and 2 or 3 curados from them. Always honest about the reel integrity and try there best to represent any imperfections of used reels.
  18. more than P-Line CXX Sounds strange but yeah....well, the ST was 14lb and the CXX is 12lb but I felt like it was more. It may have been a defective batch @ $3.
  19. I have used the AN-40 and it's ok. I got a spool at BPS for $2.99 a few years ago, worth every penny of $3. I prefer other lines over it though, I had a few breakoffs and it tended to coil up a bit more than even P-line CXX.
  20. If you like it and you can afford to get them, there's no reason not to. I have had a Code for 3-4 years, my first baitcaster, and have not had a problem with it.
  21. It seems that long runs are quiet common on KY/Barkley
  22. I too use a Sol for shallow crank baits. Mine is paired with a 6'10''MH Carrot Stix Gold and I have never felt a set-up like it, balances great, light and sensitive. The rod lacks the durability in components. The Sol can handle just about anything with trebles, I use it for shallow-mid cranks, topwater, and jerkbaits. Casts light baits well, casts heavier baits even better. I fish the Owner Cultiva Rip'n Minnow 70sp quiet a bit, it weighs 1/5oz and the Sol casts it wonderfully. I also have a Curado E5 that I use for deep cranks. I love both but I prefer the Sol for smaller baits.
  23. I don't do it but that's how I would do it if I did.
