new member of shimano posse? need advice
Don't sell yourself short, go hold some of this stuff. I can't see anyone picking up a Tierra ($129) and not walking directly to the register. I've never been so satisfied with a reel. It has seen both fresh and saltwater time and is flawless to date (owned for 4 months)

Spidercast Baitcasting reels
Mitchell made great reels back in the day when things were simple, but I don't know about now. I would PM reelmechanic and see if he can rebuild the one you have.

ReelMech
Glenn is working on it, but even if he can't get that profile back, we can use "the"reelmech or something and the post count can be restored either way. I'm just glad it was a mistake

fishing video
THIS ONE is for jigging but every word of it would apply if you are fishing a T-rigged worm in place of the jig. With the worm, the main difference would be that you will often work it further back to the boat.

first jig bass is a good one! (pics)
yup, a 3.5-4.5 lb big headed dump truck
-
What are your strong points ?
Funny Avid ;D Muddy, long cast gets the bass. Also, let it fall on slack (yet "monitored") line. 2 big factors w/ jigs at my lake.

Where is "JustFishin"?
man, that just sucks

What are your strong points ?
I feel like I have 2 strong points and 2 weak points. weak Points- 1. I noticed, since we started shooting video (HUGE way to learn your faults ) that I tend to over set or double set on the initial swing. I lost a greater % of good fish last yr compared to Dirk. Far too many hogs lost to be acceptable, fish that were definitely hooked. The bait did it's job, and the hook, and the rod,....just not me 2. I tend to touch the line too much when the fish is at the boat. Years of saltwater fishing and "leadering" those heavier lines, it's a tough one to break. It hasn't cost me any fish that I can recall but in this freshwater game, I am often using 6lb test and a 5-7 lb fish will snap that if I handle that line like I have been. Again, I can't stress enough how much video has helped us study our bad habits. I took Matt5.0 out one day and we discussed, on the way to the lake, the things I noticed in his ergonomics and his style. To eliminate bad habits early, I explained rather simply how you WANT it to be and WHY and left it alone. Then I filmed him unknowingly. Matt now has a new stance Ok, My strengths would have to be 1. I can cast. Anywhere, thread the needle, skip it, jump the stump, slide 'er in, you name it. I just love casting. My learner bait was an original floating rapala along the banks (yea,...I was that guy) So learning how to place it just right, not too far yet not too short, really helped me define my casting ability. 2. My second strength would be that I love to teach. Through teaching, I have learned how to be a better student.

show/tell us about your pets!
Hey Razor, I have rescued 2eastern Box turtles so far. They were building a golf course and one day after clearing a bunch of land, I found the first one. she was both gravid and injured. Looked like a blade of some sort got her in the leg. I took her to the vet on my route and she gave her an antibiotic and cleaned the wound. She advised that I reease her where I found her as they are very territorial and remember where they get their food. Transplanting them , she advised, is not the best idea. I took her home, she healed up and we released her. I noticed yours are in an outdoor pen, something I cannot do here in an apartment. If I should find another in trouble, would you be willing to raise it? I've just had terrible feelings that the girl didn't make it as her previous habitat is all but gone due to development PS- She laid her eggs on my floor one night, I gathered and incubated them according to online instructions but it would appear they were not fertile (Many were dented and they eventually shriveled or rotted) She loved her water bowl!!
