  1. ok so nix the long sleeve emb arm shirt. Graham, I did check them out, great concept just very expensive. We don't need a host also as we already have the on-line store. Thanks just the same though! Gdog- The men up here don't wear pink much but I'll be sure to include you and throw pink in the color choice! You'd be surprised what's out there, flippin' through the catalogue and came to a whole section on doggy shirts, lol. Too much.
  2. I could offer them for that if I had them "screened" but I would have to come out of pocket hundreds of dollars to buy and print the shirts as opposed to buiding as the order comes. Silk-screening is a 1-shot deal. THey set up, do all the shirts and then the screens are no good anymore. With embroidery, they just save the file and can recall it at anytime to do 1 shirt at a time. This also allows you to pick ANY color that the shirt comes in as a color option, whereas the screened shirts will only be available in the 1 color schemetatic that they are printed in. Just giving more info as to why I am asking. I'm looking for honesty, you won't offend me. Keep 'em coming.
  3. OK guys, I'm still researching whether or not this venture is somthing worth getting into so please, just bear with me and let's not assume it's a sure thing. With that said, I have been looking at the long sleeve section. All the garments I am looking at are the absolute best as far as shirt weights, etc. Everything I look at will be embroidered. This allows us to build orders as they come without having to warehouse the product and also offers only the BEST to our members. With that said, I think a big seller would be the long sleeve shirts with the arms lettered like this. Now my dilemma is that to make this shirt w/ embroidery, although top notch, it would be costly. The cost would be reduced by having just a chest pocket logo and the arms done. These shirts "silk-screened" retail from $25-$35. For us to build this shirt with embroidery, it would retail from $40-$45. My question is this, providing you liked the design and color choices (which will be VERY extensive), would you be willing to pay the $40-$45 for one of these embroidered? Thanks for the input once again!
  4. The skeleton will be a model for my artist to do a G. Loomis type of fish (aggressive looking) but using a L/M instead of a rockfish like Loomis. So anything that will aid her in "picturing" what I want will be a great help. You guys are great! The articles and all the other stuff here are great but the member body is truly our most prized "resource" when it's all said and done. Thanks again for all the help.
  5. Thanks JDP. Any more? I'm looking for these to give to my artist who is designing LBH logos. The more the better. PFUNK- got any cool fish skeleton stuff in your cache? Thanks!
  6. Absolutely, GET OFF THE BANK! read this. http://bassresource.com/fishing/getting_afloat.html
  7. This is easy. A catfish is only a drum if you beat it rythmically with 2 sticks.
  8. It's gotta be just the skeleton. thanks.
  9. Tried google, nothing. Can anyone find me a pic or rendering of a L/M skeleton? Thanks
  10. bring a gps with you, anyone, please! Check your actual speed, you are not going "faster", you are "pushing more water" so it sounds and seems faster. bring a gps, check your actual speed, you will be surprised.
  11. A quick venture to the shallows with a r-trap or fluke outside any cover (prefferably wood) during the peak warming hours will give you a good indicator if they ventured shallow or not but don't spend too much time there if you are not seeing action, stick to the channel and the spillway. Good luck!
  12. I still don't get it guys,...all the science so far says all you are gaining with extra T/M's is,.....weight + wake.
  13. I second RW and would also add that your world just got alot bigger and better! If you fish the same places, you may want to visit your local city hall and see if you can get a topographical map of your lakes. Welcome to the site.
  14. I've held a captain's license for 7 yrs and never drove a boat over 38-42 mph,...That's a deep-V. I imagine it takes a bit to achieve a comfort level. This is another thing I'm excited to experience on the Lake Fork trip in a couple weeks, getting on Matt's boat or Art's boat and going for a skip.
  15. the fish in rolos pic is a Squeteague (weakfish). One of the best eating saltwater fish there is. Our bay was loaded with them before I was born. They are slowly making a comeback, I caught 2 in my life, both around 7 lbs. Beautiful when you first boat them,..covered in purple and red hues. Now, back to the kids!
  16. I'm pretty sure he does.
  17. I blame my partner,...always That's what he's there for,lol
  18. wow, nice stuff,I wish I used cranks more, this stuff is right up my alley.
  19. One more point about the lines. Taper is not the only factor involved, there is also bouyancy. Some lines float (for topwater), some lines sink (bead and egg patterns, etc) and other lines are hybrids of the 2 (floating line, sinking tip)gives nice action like somthing coming to surface)(like an emerger) Lots of option, the only set back is that it's expensive to have multiple lines. Versatility ain't cheap.lol I never really got into fly fishing for bassSo I don't have much to offer there. I started with trout and moved right to saltwater.
  20. Personally, I think the girlfriend or wife of ANY respectable angler would! Yea mike,...I saw those Mykeyb-thanks for the hookup via PM. I can use that company for compararitive reason at a minimum. Good to have a reference thanks! (Mike sent link for company that does what I'm looking for)
  21. I just read cjbass's post about the joy of fishing. Every time I hear about a young gun catching fish, it brings me back to my first days in the sport with my dad. One of the greatest things about fishing isn't just the fact that it never gets old, but the fact that the memories don't either. We all have so many great memories of fishing, and now many of you get to pass that along to your kids and start building memories together. I don't have any kids of my own but I am very involved with getting kids into the sport. Anyway, I figured I would start a post where you can all show off your junior champions. So let's see 'em! BTW, parents, be sure to share this post with your kids, let them know you are so proud of them that you want to share it with all your fishing friends!
  22. And in the livewell,..lol
  23. LOTS of fish in the sea!
  24. I know some have a "history" option but I'm pretty sure it's only on high end ones. or are you talking about the settings?
  25. I sure don't. That's just a win/win situation all around. What would be cool would be to hear some stories about "the husband" and how he complains about her fishing addiction,...turn the tables! lol From the 230 lb, 6'-1" man in an apron- "I cook, I clean and all you can do is spend all our money and your time,...on fishing,...YOU NEVER HAVE TIME FOR ME"...(sob sob)
