First Assessment of Mag-Touch Casting Rod
I love my antique Mitchell 300, especially the clicking sound it makes with ever handle turn. I think it would look good on a Mag Touch. I have mine on a 80's Cherrywood. Back then Berkley made that rod with better guides and a tougher backbone.

"Brand Guy"
My prefered Brands are: Pflueger, Quantum and Daiwa reels in that order. St. Croix and All Star Rods. Stren line.

Your Favorite Gear Stinks
I have had some of my best catches and memories on "stinky gear" Caught my PB Bass on a Mitchell 300X reel/Berkley lightning rod combo Caught my PB Pickerel on a Shimano Syncopate/Berkley lightning rod combo Caught over 50 Smallies on a day of boating on a Pflueger Intensity/All Star Select combo. I used my Quantum Snapshot paired up with a Ugly Stick for years before I retired it. The reel had hardly any paint on it when I finally put it away in its box for the last time. My favorite spinning reel is my rear drag Pflueger Trion, it comes on every trip with me even though I own a Pflueger Supreme and Shimano Symetre.

Mike Iaconelli
I holler with almost every catch like Ike. Nothing makes me a kid all over again like fishing. I scared my friend last week while we were fishing off a dock catching dink Smallmouths. I caught one on a Senko and screamed "I got it!" He jumped out of his skin, I startled him so bad. Like Muddy said, us Italians (Especially NY/NJ ones) were brought up to express ourselves. ;D

question for quantum lovers
I love my Code. Solid reel that feels good in the palm. I am a big fan of quantums acs brake system now. I would hate to have a baitcaster without one.

High dollar reels catch more fish?
Quick answer is no. Experience has taught me that if you are buying a baitcaster its better to buy the high dollar reels. Spinning reels are different. While I prefer my high dollar spinning reels I still caught the most and biggest fish with an old Mitchell reel.
-
centrifugal or magnetic, which do you prefer and why
centrifugal for me. I love my Quantum Code with ACS adjustable centrifugal cast control. Its like they read my mind on what I want in a reel and made one where you don't have to take off the sideplate to adjust the brakes.

Is this just the sickest new car on the market ???
X2 I would love to own one of the new Challengers. I want it in the 70's original lime green!

Best spining reel 50-100$
I agree with bilgerat about Pflueger. I have all three reels mentioned and I do the bulk of my fishing with them since last year. Some other great reels are: Shimano Symetre Daiwa Capricorn Abu Garcia Cardinal

All Star's marketing folks need a kick in the rear
Thats a shame. Too bad since I love my All Star rods, all three of them.

Bought a new symetre today
Great reel, one of my favorites. Love the aluminum body and oil port so you don't have to open the reel.

Big bass, cats, and butts!

You're either a Tackle Junky...or Not.
I am a tackle junkie. I am on the wagon though. I promised myself, no new rods or reels this year. I am trying to use the ones I have.

Things that people pay way too much for
Because the Fusion gives the best shave I have ever gotten. X2 I shave everyday and swap out the cartridge every month. To save money I can go 2 or 3 months before changing a cartridge they are that good. Try doing that with a disposable, if you dare. Shaving with a disposable is like dragging broken glass across your face try a Fusion you won't look back. the one that vibrates ur talkin about right???i use um talk about no irritation and NO INGROWN hairs .no one here uses dull blades on there mower why use um on ur face?!!! The one that vibrates is called the Fusion Power. I have that one and the regular kind. They are both fantastic razors and I have shaved with everything from straight to safety razors.

The Horror!!!
Ouch! I feel your pain. Reminds me of the time I was saltwater fishing with my father in law and I wanted to show him the action on my brand new Kastmaster lure (also $8) I flipped it over the side close to the boat and started reeling it in. A Bluefish came out of nowhere and slammed that lure its teeth ripped right through my line. Bye bye lure. All I could say was Doh!

Radio while fishing?
I voted never. When I am fishing I like the music that nature makes over anything that comes out of a radio.

Like a boot to the skull it is...

Bass & Aquariums
LBH that is a beautiful Oscar and tank! He sure looks healthy. I love the Hikari pellets they really make the Oscar's red color pop. I had an albino Oscar and he was more red than white after I started using the Hikari pellets.

Bass & Aquariums
I have to admit you have me stumped. With the low feed program coupled with the amount of water changes you make I would have said your fish has the potential to grow larger than his surroundings. I know I fed my fish daily on floating pellets and a bag of feeder goldfish once a week for a treat. Maybe I just had a fat fish ;D

Couple of ponds, a few dinks>WELL IT"S A START!!!!!!
Good going Muddy! Its nice us northerners can start coming out of hibernation to fish again. Water temps are still cold here in upstate NY. We still have some nights just above freezing near Lake George.
