  1. careful, a softer tip does not necessarily mean the rod has a faster action and vice versa.
  2. if you are fishing the senko wacky rigged with a small hook, you do not need a powerful hookset. FC really shines on this slack line presentation IMO. try it once if you havent.
  3. 8lb Sniper or Tatsu if its on sale a little KVD l&l doesnt hurt.
  4. DT grub has a lot of action. i use the yamamoto one with football jigs a lot. both 4 and 5 inch.
  5. what is something that most manufacturers are doing but they arent?
  6. im worried about Thane1616. he hasn't reported back after climbing the tree. i hope he didn't get locked up. or attacked by an eagle.
  7. I always have something tied to each rod I bring. i hate retying. and you have to be quick with a follow up bait after a missed strike! that's why you need a minimum of 10 rods.
  8. everybody needs a pop max or two. not my pic, stolen from the webz
  9. ned rigs, dropshot
  10. sounds like a night mission
  11. I have the white python one. is that the skeleton? I did not notice an adjustable lip. i'll have to take a closer look but I think I would have noticed. its the smaller version of the pop max.
  12. get another pop max and a pop x while you are at it. I know you lost yours but being a top water bait you shouldn't lose very many. it noticeably catches more fish for me than any other popper ive used. might be a mental thing but im sold.
  13. what rods do you currently own? are you upgrading or adding to the collection? a great all-around rod is the Loomis GLX MBR 783c (if you don't mind 6'6"). Does everything well and is my favorite spinnerbait rod. this is one rod I do not think i will ever sell. they cost some coin but with the new GLX rods coming out, maybe there will be a sale on the classics. there are a few sales going on currently - i think monster tackle online store? both Loomis and St. Croix have great replacement programs should you happen to break a rod.
  14. not only are the ci4+ reels smooth, they are very light weight. they made many of my spinning rods a lot more enjoyable to fish. i have 3 ci4+s that i swap back and forth depending on what spinning rods im bringing that day.
  15. the problem with a lot of the cheaper kayaks is the seat. a comfortable one is crucial! if you find a cheap 10 footer with a framed seat, let me know! I need a creek boat in the fleet.
  16. so gross. i used to breed ball python morphs. i remember always forgetting and leaving frozen rats under a heat lamp for too long. when the snakes would constrict the things would burst. the smell...
  17. lock him up! an undersized walleye should never be taken.
  18. Yamamoto 5" DT Hula Grub on a Arky jighead.

rig them weightless with an offset EWG worm hook with the skirt on top. they imitate easy prey
  20. sure it does, working baits is part of the fun! d**n your review above. im back on the japanese sites now.
  21. if you already have another combo you can use while you save up and you know you are into fishing for the long run, id take Onvacation's advice. just fish the hell out of your current set up until you have a little more saved up. if you buy a cheaper combo and then upgrade a few months down the road, you will end up spending a lot more at the end. a nice reel will be a lot easier to cast as well, i recommend spending more on the reel for less expensive combos. if you dont plan on upgrading for a few years, go for it.
  22. if you havent tried a glass rod i would recommend doing so before purchasing one. they are definitely not for me. graphite - 6'8" for short accurate casts and if you will fish with the tip down. 7' for long casts, deep water, moving more line.
  23. im pretty sure this one is over. inline spinners will catch anything. trout, bass, pike, musky, bluegill, catfish, shad...
  24. not worth it. a homeless man in san diego once told me that seagulls taste like crap.
  25. im prob late to the party but I followed these guys ^^^ 3/8oz white spinnerbait 3/8oz black cavitron buzzbait 2 rat-l-traps some of those cheap KVD crankbaits senkos jigs jig trailers plastic worms and creatures/worm hooks/worm weights. I could live on that for a a few months.
