  2. Posted by: Jimzee Posted on: Today at 12:07am I would like to have half of those reels on his boat. I think he would be fun to fish with for a day. Lots of enthusiasm! Same here, put me in the boat with Ike. I think that it would be a blast, who knows maybe we could catch a few. memo
  3. Rage Tail toad x2 memo
  4. I use a lot of the rage tail baits an have compared them to others. they have the best movement out of any that I have thrown. From suttle twitches that the flow of water, to the twitching of the rod. Heck there are time where I just get mesmerized ( I think I spelled it right) by there movement. Talk about creating an aggressive strike. give them a try an be the judge for yourself. memo
  5. congrats, now you just have to take more pics/vids of your awesome swim baits in action. memo
  6. I fish the Rage Tail lizard, an love it. I use to fish othersbut now that I have this one, it is the one. I like it because any suttle twitch in the line differnt parts of the body come to life, just like a real one would. Even movent in the water will move it. When working the bait an you just let it sit there. A fish will come an inventigate it. Just the shear movement created by the water will be enought to trigger a stike. Check out the rest of the Rage Tail baits they have natural movents throughtout the entire bait like no other. Once you try it you will be sold. memo
  7. I am going to stop by there on the way to NC, you want me to call you an let you know what I see. memo
  8. wow Sorry don't mean to highjack your thread, but I didn't know there where that many clubs/ tourneys in our area. (stationed at quantico) Worse comes to worse I would like to join you an go fish somewhere. The downfall is I only have 8 days off this summer. The rest I am either traveling, instructing, or getting ready to travel. memo
  9. Nice job, thanks for being a good influence. Hope he catches a TON of fish with it. memo
  10. No matter what the size is (at least until the story gets told) remeber it's all about the outing. Congrats on getting out an hooking a few. I will give it a shot tomorrow an well I don't want to jinx myself so I will leave it t that. memo
  11. As mentioned earlier, fast or slow it will get the job done. What I do is cast it out, to where I want it, along shore lines, laydown, veg etc etc. Wait for the ripples to dieperese take up the slack an give it a gentle tug towards me. As I complete the tug take up the slack an repeat. I do this 2-3 times, an let it sit till the ripples are disperesed, an repeat all the way back in. The biggest thing with top water is reacting to soon an not letting the fish take it all the way. Feel the weigth an set the hook. hope this helps memo
  12. Well the good news is you found the spark problem. Now as far as the water line..... It is possible for the water line to bust, you mentioned that it leaked before winter. But how was it stored all fluids drained etc etc. To see if the head gasket is blown check to see what color/consitency is the oil. If it is thick/milky then yes the head gasket blew an water mixed in with the oil. If not, then it just a matter of finding where the water line is broke/cracked. hope this helped. memo
  13. I have never used automotive paint but there are others here who have Re: A few swim jigs Reply #5 - Today at 3:12pm cadman wrote on Today at 3:04pm: Thad wrote on Today at 1:20pm: The weedgaurds are inserted before pouring the mold. The paint on the third one is brown powder coat and then I airbrushed the belly orange. I kind of figured the weedguards were poured in place, very nice. Did you use Createx on your jig? I am slowly going to break into air brushing, just don't have the time lately. I have all the components though. Your lures and paint jobs are beautiful. I originally was starting to get into crankbait building, but again got too busy with jigs. I use different automotive paints. I've been messing around with cranks myself lately. Back to top Just use the automotive (word) in the search an you can pm them an find out what they are doing. Hope this helps an remember if you stumble across something post pictures an comments. memo
  14. Nice looking rig you have there, hope it brings you countless hours of enjoyment. If you are going to change/modify anything remember the pictures. memo
  15. I like it, something different. Just like lures/baits everyone throwing the same thing the fish won't touch it. Might make a stealthier entrance enableing you to get closer. Do you plan on useing it as a primary prop, or mount it on a TM to troll around. I know you mentioned it as a TM, I have a 35lb thrust that I used on my canoe and it's my primary means of movement. If you plan on useing it as a primary I would recommened some sort of slam guard (similar to what off road trucks have). Let me know how it works out. memo
  16. Ok so long story short. I just got heavily into bass fishing an as my arsenal grows (thanks monkey). I want to add another reel to it. All my reels are geared to 6:3. I have thrown 7:0-7:1 an man does things haul. Can someone point me in the right direction for figureing out what gear is recommended for what situation. Thank in advance. Also sorry if this has already been covered I could't find anything in the search query. memo
  17. nice looking fish you have there. How was the bite, was it intense or sluggish. memo
  18. Looks like a good start to me. Have fun, don't give up an imagine what the end result will be. A BASS fishing machine. memo
  19. Being in the military we get this issued to us all the time. They are the same quality an craftmanship as Oakley's except with out the price. Overall they are a pretty good brand, it just doesn't carry the well none names as Oakley, Bolle, Spy, or any of the other big names. memo
  20. Did this help you out, or you still haveing problems with it? memo
  21. I use a standard set of needle nose pliers, preferably with a long nose (for getting deep down inside) I recommend the ones with rubber handles for better grip. No need to spend a ton of $$$ cheap ones will do just fine. That way you can still feed the monkey. memo
  22. here you go, hope this helps. http://www.georgescustomrods.com/split_your_grip.htm also look for Bassectomy's threads he did a pretty good job on a few of his. memo
  23. Check the conections, at the swith, fuse, an finaly at the terminal destination. Make sure they are both tight an clean. While you are checking the connections use a test light an see if there is power flow. (the ones that you touch the circuit an the light turns on.) make sure that the test light has a good ground. Also what is the condition/s of the bilge an livewell. Where they working properly the last time you used them. This should help trouble shoot 99.9 percent of it. hope this helps. memo
  24. congrats on the new tech. Once you have it down, you will never want to go back. the precision an distance you get are awesome. memo
  25. Nice looking fish you have there, congrats. memo
