WRB's 5 Biggest Bass Stories ~ Tom Young Simi Valley Ca
I have a box of hand-poured soft plastics that I bought from him a few years ago. Western Plastics, Don Iovino, etc. that were made in the 80's and early 90's that are no longer in production. Great finesse baits and Slug-Go knockoffs. I'm a little choked up thinking about fishing them now. I guess it's just new and raw right now. But I'll still fish them in his honor, and thank him for every fish caught.

I should've. Like 40 per day isn't enough?? LOL!!! Naw, but seriously....spammers were using that as a means to up their post count in the hopes of being able to post links to malicious websites. We'd also see some members try to jump to the next member level by liking and reacting to everything. So I'd see 100+ likes by a new member immediately after they joined, or just meaningless "likes" all over the place. We've since eliminated "likes" and reactions counting towards....well...anything. So the incentive is no longer there. So ...have fun!!

Rest in Peace @ WRB-2.0
This is truly heartbreaking news. Losing a member like him leaves a hole that can’t really be filled. For nearly 20 years, he wasn’t just part of the forum — he was the forum in so many ways. His willingness to share decades of hard-earned knowledge, to patiently help others, and to contribute thoughtfully to discussions is exactly what made this community special. What stood out most was not just how much he knew, but how freely he gave it. He made newcomers feel welcome, helped seasoned anglers see things differently, and elevated the conversations simply by being part of them. That kind of generosity leaves a lasting impact far beyond individual posts. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in the countless threads he contributed to, the people he helped, and the standard he set for what this community should be. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Rest easy, my friend — and thank you for everything you gave to this community.

Ya, I didn't have Vikings winning on my bingo card. But that's why they play the games.

Winter 2025 ~ 2026
40 degrees and cold, wet, rain with more wind. It's just dark, gray, and wet, wet, wet...cold, soggy, muddy, wet. It's no wonder we're the moss state! It's so dark, everyone's driving around at 1:00pm with their headlights on. I don't know when the last time I saw sunshine was. Imma bout ready to catch the next plane to AZ. Oh wait, it's pouring down rain there too!

- What have you forgotten?
Oh...then there's the time I forgot to lower the Power-Poles before pulling the boat out of the garage. I totaled the garage door.- What have you forgotten?
Oh, I forgot I forgot a few more things: I forgot to take the motor toter off - I didn't know the prop could shoot it that high. I forgot to take ONE of the back straps off. What ensued was nothing more than comical as the boat drifted off the trailer, but was stuck at the same time. Let's just say I got wet.....in 55 degree water. Still went fishing though.- Road To The Superbowl 2026
Well...they fell a little short.- What have you forgotten?
I forgot my sunglasses one time. I went fishing anyway.- Road To The Superbowl 2026
I'm rooting for the Colts too.- Why BC reels Not Shimano/Daiwa are No-Go's?
Wait...there are Senko knock offs?- Why BC reels Not Shimano/Daiwa are No-Go's?
Ya, it seems EVERY time we have a Shimano vs. Daiwa thread (which we have many), they get closed down because people are very loyal to their brands. There's also a lot of guessing and misconceptions spread as truth, and folks get upset when they realize they were one of them. A lot of emotions and egos over...fishing. It's supposed to be fun folks. No reason to get all bent up because somebody buys for different reasons than you. What's important to you, often isn't for others. As long as they're out fishing and enjoying it, I'm happy for them.- Why BC reels Not Shimano/Daiwa are No-Go's?
I can't speak for Kastking, but the Okuma Halogen uses lightweight carbon-fiber sideplates, not plastic. And Okuma does use their own factory for many of their reels. So, no, they're not the same reels as other brands. Man I hate it when people make assumptions and spread misinformation. Either get it right or stop guessing.- NEW VIDEO!! 5 Easy Steps to Catch More Bass This Winter

How many flights of stairs before you take the elevator? Me? 4- Road To The Superbowl 2026
Mathew Stafford said the refs gave the home team all the calls. Did the Rams get more penalties? Yes, but let's break it down: Rams: 8 for 54 yards Seahawks: 5 for 40 yards ...14 yards difference. …dude gets nearly 600yds of offense, gets like 3 turnovers, they score 37 points, plus a MISSED field goal that would've ended the game. They still can't win. And he's blaming it on the refs??- Road To The Superbowl 2026
Oh man, I didn't realize it came out that way. I was talking about all the people who picked the Rams to win because they said Sam Darnold can't win a big game. Sorry @gim- Road To The Superbowl 2026
Remember when they were saying Sam Darnold couldn't win a big important game? They can't say that anymore! That said, it was sloppy on both sides of the ball. There's definitely room for improvement. The good thing is that the team KNOWS it. They're not resting on this win. - What have you forgotten?
