  1. @islandbass You're not wrong. The NFC West teams seem to have 3, sometimes all 4 teams beat the snot out of non-conference teams; and it's a dogfight with in-conference games. It's just a very strong conference. It was just last year they finished 10-7 and STILL didn't make the playoffs because of SF and the Rams. The Hawks had the best record of all the teams that didn't make the playoffs. Fun fact: An NFC West team has been in the Superbowl in at least 10 of the past 15 years. THAT'S how strong the NFC West is.
  2. Boater Aspen Martin of White, Georgia, has been reinstated for the 2026 Bass Fishing League (BFL) All-American championship following new disclosures after he was disqualified from the Lake Murray Regional held Oct. 10-11. Details: https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/bfl-martin-12225.html Your thoughts?

  4. Oh I get it: I was just surprised the Hawks have a shot at the playoffs. They're playing better than I expected. That's all.
  5. Well at the beginning of the year I predicted the Hawks would be 8-8. They just won their 9th in convincing fashion, and are serious contenders for a playoff run, although I don't think they have a shot of going all the way. They have a tough schedule the remainder of the season, so we'll see what they're made of soon.
  6. Man, how MANY times do I have to see posts like this on social media? When it takes only 4 mins to watch this:
  7. I'm watching the Ducks vs. Huskies game right now. Go Dogs! Two things about college ball that annoy me: 1. Screaming announcers. Why??? They often get in a shouting match with each other. I can't stand the pre-game shows for that reason. 2. The rankings. The system they use....ugh. Those so-called "upsets" and "blowouts" are a result of an extremely flawed way to rank teams. They're not even close to reality. Get rid of the polls and voting, and make it all data-driven.

  11. Glenn replied to Bazoo's topic in Everything Else
Well, you're talking two different issues. @Bazoo's issue is local - it's something with his browser or computer. Likely cache, but I can't say for sure. A reboot and clearing cache will probably solve it. The issue @Jigfishn10 noted is one I've seen for nearly a year, but it's very random. Since nobody mentioned it previously, and I asked a few people if they'd seen it, and they hadn't, I thought it was just affecting me. I tried searching server log files, but found nothing conclusive. Since it's random, I haven't been able to reproduce it on demand. Server load and reboots seemingly have no effect. I stopped investigating at that point because I thought it was happening to just me, plus refreshing the page always clears it.

  14. Replace the hooks on a deep-diving suspending jerkbait with one size bigger. That will weigh it down enough to get it to run deeper.
  15. Here's how to ELIMINATE line twist on spinning reels:
  16. Wait! I have to change my answer.... That's better.

  19. This is normal traffic, almost 24/7. It's a sure-fire recipe for road rage....every day! NOW you know why I avoid Seattle at all costs! I NEVER go there unless I have absolutely no alternatives. Quite literally, I Ubered there for my last meeting in downtown....and I'm 20 miles out. It's THAT bad.
