  5. I can't use anything to do with getting stoned, I am in revcovery,, What? Thats the author>>>>SORRY my mistake
  6. Lighter, smoother, 30 bucks less and I have never had a problem with a President. I have used them extensively. I did not like the Medalist especially the bail. I flip the bail by hand, I just wasn't 30 bucks more impressed with the Medalist.
  7. Since I listened to you, more than 50% of my fishing is with Jigs, and I do throw a lot of plastics. The problem I am having probhits me from holding the rod the way you suggest as it puts way too much strain on my Shoulder socket and bicep. Whats going on is old age has caught up with an old injury. A seperated shoulder from when I got hit by a car. I went to a Doctor , at Penn State whose specialty is sports medicine. He suggested I bring a rod, and it was a longer handle model, I held it like you said, right onto the fore arm :he said it was a recipie for doom, looking at my MRI. I think I am going to go with the doctor on this one, b/c surgery is really not a safe option for me.
  8. Hey Catt: Not everyone should get long handled rods! The angle of retrieve was killing me, I did muc better with non - split grips that were on the shorter side. My friend Dan, is a Musky guide, he dislocated his arm, playing foot ball with his kids. He had to give up fishing and get surgery , lost a whole year. He tipped me off aobut the shorter handels and he is right.
  9. At least they moved them all at once, on this side of the continent Walsh is moving the Knicks ONE AT A TIME!!!!!!!! ;D
  10. Last year a lot of us met up at Cabela's in Hamburg. I hope to get a gathering after the Holidays at BASS PRO in Harrisburg. This year we will drive to the lesser end of the commonwealth ;D I will try and get it organized in mid to late January.
  11. What he said, the Medalist went into the giveaway stash and has a new owner as of last season.
  12. Not taken that way at all. I use live bait frequently on the rivers anyway.
  13. How about an Athletic Support Forum
  14. To add to this, not a scientific point but my experience. For what ever is going on in my arm and shoulder I found going to more side arm casting and gentle lobs most of the day, the stress and pain are lessend at days end
  15. I would rather wait to try it for at least a whole season before I make that choice. My President spinning reels, are my favorite, and the Trion not far behind. I have never ,ever had an issue with their graphite bodies.
  16. I am in this groupnow :-[ I went to 6'6" rods, and I stopped fishing one month earlier( the weather helped=early winter) :'( To give myself time to heal. I was hoping as I clear up some personal edbt over the winter to look at a swimbait setup, but given the choice surgery or swimbaits I will give up on the swimbait idea. The Doc will not give me an opinion until Feb.
  17. IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. ;D
  18. This one has an aluminum body, MAROON in color. They will still make the graphite one. NO 35 size. http://www.pfluegerfishing.com/products/products.php?p=77
  19. Do you have an electrical trailer connector ? If so make sure it has not pulled apart or any wires frayed.
  20. Are your dash lights working? I once had a Ranger and the tailights and instrument lights were on the same fuse.Do you have a trailer hitch electircal connection? That can also cause this if it pulled apart somehow. Do you have an *** bumper sticker? Yamamoto has a nation wide team of ninjas shooting out the tail lights of said vechiles
  21. Great bait, I just started using them at the end of this past season. I will be adding a few more to the arsenal.
  22. This is from my Cousin Joanne, this makes a good argument that insanity is genetic ;D Potatoes Well, A Girl Potato and Boy Potato had eyes for each other, and finally they got married, and had a little sweet potato, which they called 'Yam.' Of course, they wanted the best for Yam. When it was time, they told her about the facts of life. They warned her about going out and getting half-baked, so she wouldn't get accidentally mashed, and get a bad name for herself like 'Hot Potato,' and end up with a bunch of Tater Tots Yam said not to worry, no Spud would get her into the sack and make a rotten potato out of her! But on the other hand she wouldn't stay home and become a Couch Potato either. She would get plenty of exercise so as not to be skinny like her Shoestring cousins. When she went off to Europe, Mr and Mrs. Potato told Yam to watch out for the hard-boiled guys from Ireland. And the greasy guys from France called the French Fries. And when she went out west, to watch out for the Indians so she wouldn't get scalloped. Yam said she would stay on the straight and narrow and wouldn't associate with those high class Yukon Golds, or the ones from the other side of the tracks who advertise their trade on all the trucks that say, 'Frito Lay.' Mr. and Mrs Potato sent Yam to Idaho P.U. (that's Potato University) so that when she graduated she'd really be in the Chips But in spite of all they did for her, one-day Yam came home and announced she was going to marry Tom Brokaw. Tom Brokaw! Mr. and Mrs. Potato were very upset. They told Yam she couldn't possibly marry Tom Brokaw because he's just...... Are you ready for this? Are you sure? * * OK! Here it is! * * * * A COMMONTATER
