MARK McGUIRE
Come on guys. He has only been lying for 10 years or so....I mean, I am sure he is trustworthy now. No way those performance enhancing drugs actually enhanced his performance. He said they didn't besides him hiding it for 10 years why would we not believe him. Does anyone see the irony in a man who cheated to break a batting record being called to be a batting coach? IMO, there are spur of the moment, passionate mistakes/lapses in judgement folks make which I can see past. A decade of being untruthful, well I am going to need a little more than "I am really really sorry, won't happen again, I am all better now, grew some integrity out back and had it installed so trust me as a coach/leader." They should wipe the books for him and any of these other schmoes, make it like they never existed in the sport. Maybe after that, kids will see what cheating gets you.

Please! Bottled drinks only!
Tell ya what. I worked at McD's and hospital dietary depts through high school and short part of college. If those machines are not cleaned twice or more a day, and I mean taken apart and scrubbed in sanitizer, they get nasty QUICK. It is a perfect medium for breeding bacteria and mold, dark, wet, and loaded with syrup and/or juice(depending on which type). The hospital in particular was horrendous, I mean absolutely horrendous was a miracle they did not kill someone.

Ever do anything really stupid while fishing?
I have done plenty. I think my favorite were all the youtube vids though with Bill Dance. He has some absolutely hillarious ones. It does me good to see that even the pros are not immune to some of the stuff.

Rant Part Duex
Honestly, I personally feel like customer service in this country has gone to crap. They don't pay people enough to give a hoot so that in turn reflects upon the company. IMO, that goes to work ethic in this nation. You (not you personally) took the job, you accepted the pay, then DO the job to the best of your ability. Seriously, if I hire you at min wage to work a job and you do a half @$$ job at it, why would I ever want to pay you more? If the job pays peanuts and it is too low a salary for you to justify doing it well, then do not take the job. IMO, customer service sucks because: 1. Work ethic in this country has totally disappeared to the point that someone who shows up 40 hours a week and does a simple honest days work is exceptional. 2. Companies and their owners bought into the "Its just business" mentality that they stopped using personal integrity and honesty in dealing with employees and their customers. Yes, if you treat your customers all fairly, then you will get some lugnuts who take advantage of you and your business and rip ya off. On the inverse, you treat all your customers like they are trying to rip you off, only those that do will come back.

Denville man died after trying to swim in frozen lake!
Before being to harsh on these guys...lets go back to the stupid things that should have killed us thread. I can think of a few things I have done that an inch to the left or right, I would have been killed in an extremely stupid way.

Favorite Rapala Lures???
Around here, Shad-rap or x-rap shad color (silver/black). Optimal depth most time of the year for these is 7'-10'. There are some coves here will these will pick up fish year round guaranteed. I also keep a shallow runner 3'-5' around for shallower coves in the late fall early winter. I have come behind a guy working a hole for 45 min without a bite and caught one in < 5 minutes. Course Wylie has a HUGE shad population, so it is what the fish are looking for.

What was I thinking
That is why we have gas heat. Still dry, but it heats the crud out of my house. I have 3 relative that have those electric heat pump systems, they suck big time. Also, I can run my heating system off my generator if there is a power failure since it only has to power the fan. No matter how bad the ice storm, I have yet to lose gas. Power plenty o times, gas never.

What a waste of money!
No kidding. Had to sit here all friggin season watching the Delhomme and Fox show throw (literally) away the entire season. Then to kick you when you are down he gets hurt. We bring in the backup and win every game once he is out. I would have LOVED to have a team worthy of playoffs.

Anyone use Turbo Tax?
I have used it for 3 years. Before that it was a CPA, for the price (which was about as much as my CPA), I get as much money back and I do not get errors (which was a problem with the CPA).

Tested out the new gun...sad state of affairs
Yeah, I am definitely getting one. The other thing here. Had this thought after a long chat with NC State Troopers who agreed with me but still have to follow the law. Without a CCW we are required to carry any firearm in plain site. Right out in the open. Loaded or not, I got 4 kids in my car, I do not want any firearm in plain site around them. With a CCW I can put it in my glovebox, locked where it should be or in a shoulder holster on my person. Either way, not out in plain site. I also do a alot of hiking way out in the woods by myself and it would be nice to have it back there with me. I prefer to carry concealed out in the public (woods, etc) as well cause too many folks get all freaky when they see a firearm.

Man vs. Wild has gone too far
He found some fresh water but it was dirty. He said it would make him gag to drink so he decided to absorb it through his bum. Dear Lord....why!? I am sorry if it is self enema or die, I am a gonner. Maybe instead, he should have sent to college to prepare him for that. When I went through college I remember drinking some concoction that would gag my dog. betwen $0.25 draft and all the mixed drinks we thought we would invent...I can't imagine his water is as bad as that stuff.

I need to relocate, must have good bass fishin, where?
GO SC. Like one poster said, the Columbia area has some AWESOME lakes to hit. On top of that, laws are less restrictive, and the taxes are better. Compared to where I live (Gaston county NC), the cost of living in SC is much lower. Is there anything specific to culture you are looking for? SC also has season changes without the cold (with the exception of this month apparently)

Tested out the new gun...sad state of affairs
lol...I might do better that way. I was shooting with 1 eye closed. Couple things I changed, my right arm (I am a lefty, I was holding all wrong, it was pulling me to the rightand down. Fixed that. I found some great vids online and I found one of my issues was the way i was holding the trigger. had way too much finger on it. When I testing with the unloaded gun, I could see I was pulling to the right when I pull the trigger, less finger I did not pull it at all. Also, I was focusing on the target to an extreme that I was not really using the sights like I should have been. I was a little taken back by my gun. it had more recoil than I expected. I have used other S&W 40's but not this specific model and the recoil was a little tougher. So I am heading out tomorrow morning to put all I have learned into practice with a couple hundred rounds.

Tested out the new gun...sad state of affairs
LOL. I am a pretty good shot with a long gun. Fired them plenty of times. So when I bought my S&W M&P 40 figured it would still be half decent just need some adjustment. Man, it was just a sad state of affairs. Looks like I will be spending a lot of time at the range this month. I made about every mistake you could. Bad stance, held it wrong, pulled the trigger in a manner which pulled the shot right (I am a lefty). I did at least hit the target each time, so if I was being attacked by a barn, well as long as I saw the broadside it would be done. LOL. Got a bud of mine who was a MP for a while to go out with me and give me some great tips. Now I got to make them second nature. On the plus side (knock on wood). The gun performed flawlessly. Was very pleased with it and I got a good feel for the recoil and trigger pull on it. Yeah...more stuff to spend money on.

Another dumb criminal...
yeah, I am not a fan of any illegal drug but meth seems to make the least sense to me. Some dude in a double-wide, car, etc, with no chemistry degree or even a real lab, grabs a bunch of household chemicals and decided to mix this stuff up. Then you put this in your body and trust he actually did it right.

Another dumb criminal...
Passes out at a gas pump while cooking meth in his back seat. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34659622/ns/local_news-nashville_tn/ This could have been real bad if there had been an explosion.

Bass fishing on Nintendo wii: Helps cure cabin fever
I did a ton of research on the Wii fishing games and ended up buying Rapala Fishing Frenzy. It was pretty good. Still nothing I have found yet beats the InFisherman Freshwater Trophies I got for the PC. That is an awesome game.

Electric razors?
LOL!! Nice... yeah I have been using disposables for 20 years. Well the type with the disposable heads anyway. I remember when 2 blades on them was a "breakthrough". Now they all have like 4-6 blades. I am waiting for 10 years from now when they got a 35 blade one that shaves down to your skull on the first pass. They work for me, they do but I was trying to find an alternative that did not have me buying blades all the time and of course throwing stuff out. The priority is still a good close shave though. I would rather buy blades and throw out more than go in front of a client looking like I just started shaving last week.

Patching holes in an aluminum boat?
I got the HTS-2000 brazing rods an fixed my jon myself when I needed to. Was real tough to find a welder in the area who would do that gauge aluminum (there was only 1 within 80 miles). You need to practice with the brazing first. It is easy to screw up but it works awesome when done right.

Electric razors?
Hey guys! Been reading reviews after reviews, thought I would ask the guys on here. Given the price of blades and trying to be more environmentally sound, I have been considering getting an electric razor. When I was a teen I tried one for about a month and found it absolutely sucked. It felt like it pulled the hair out, not cut it, and it never gave me a close enough shave. I have been reading reviews on them and have not really seen anything from them that impressed me so far. Anyone on here got a brand they would recommend, or not recommend? I need something that give a close shave, lasts a while, and is good for folks who grow facial hair really fast (lot of Italian genes on my fam).

Bad bass boat accident. :-(
Wow, that is like the second time I heard that happening in the last couple months. It is good the dude had the clarity to pull his bud to the boat and call on the cell. Probably saved both their lives. Just goes to show, you never know what is going to happen.
