  1. Beauty!kinda noticed that myself with them being rather spritely out of the gates('bout same temps).
  2. Nice fish, great shots, the meadowlark d**n near jumps off the screen. The eagle looks like it was just cruising through checking out your fish....heads up!Thanks for the tip.
  3. Another option GMAN is to go into the new FISHING WOMEN section in the forums and ask the girls in there...provided of course you KEEP YOUR HANDS IN YOUR POCKETS!!
  4. Chucks!Have used Chiltons' in the past,at best they would give you a rough idea and thats with included photos.Service manuals can sometimes be a crap shoot as well;needed to replace a reverse sending switch and the manual stated it was mounted on left side, when you crawled under there it was mounted on right.Went to refill clutch fluid and a wiring harness encased in plastic, mounted to firewall, prevented you from unscrewing cap to reservoir.Manual says to check fluid level in reservoir.LOL,g/l
  5. SUPER!!That fish is almost as long as she is tall!

I fish them weightless,on a Carolina rig(Texas rigged)and smaller sizes on dropshot. On the Carolina rig and fishing it weightless I prefer to use a sweeping action in 1 to 2 foot increments. While dropshoting I will use small hops then sweep it.Colors I like are, pumpkinseed, green pumpkin, black and bullfrog.I like the Zoom brand
  8. NICE fish!Congrats ;D
  9. Welcome backwater4,G/L in your tourneys.
  10. Voted sometimes,do weigh most of the "whoa nellies" though.
  11. Your right,apologies crankbait2010
  12. For less money, take a look at the Compre line.I agree with others on the Crucial being a good stick. I think the reasoning behind the "huge" 1st guide was to provide less restriction while casting, has something to do with the diameter of the spool lip in relation to diameter of 1st guide.

    welcome aboard
  14. Hmm,just off the top of my head,I think theres a pin going though the end of the spool shaft, that pin sits up under the pinion gear in a slot, try an make sure its in there and or lined up to fit in pinion.Hope that helps,G/L.
  15. Been using some of their 6" nightcrawlers, weightless Texas rigged and dropshoting, also some 3/8ths weighted carolina rigs, colors were natural, black and watermelon/red glitter.Had good success catching large and smallmouths with these. We did switch them out frequently to keep from drying out and maintain stronger scent.
  16. Good Luck with the boat, great looking fish!
  17. set your drag watch your line don't horse him
  18. I'm not growing any smallies,wish I were,and still find it interesting and a good read,thanks Glenn.
  19. Fall fishing is great,Nice Fish!
  20. I agree with OIFBasser, the Compre in the specs your looking at is a great rod,has good power to keep you ahead of the fish.
  21. I use low ratio reels for alot of techniques, worm'n,dropshot, carolina rigs...etc.I fish at a slower pace and like to think I'm keeping the bait in the strike zone just a tad longer. At times I'm only turning the handles an 1/8 to 1/4 turn. Also like the advantage afforded while in moderate to heavy cover.
