  1. In N.H., it's gotta be Winnepesaukee, you know, the one that was listed in the top 100 lakes thing? The exact reason I don't even fish it. The traffic is stupid, with a huge mix of college dudes that probably don't even have their driver's licenses due to D.U.I's, and a ridiculous amount of tournaments each year. You can catch 4lb smallies till you're blue in the face, but the aggravation is not worth it to me.
  2. Of course, today, here in the states, we get... RAGE TAILS!!!! At least, that's what my 6 y.o. son wants. He's a smart kid.
  3. Great fish, man!!
  4. I would have played the sit still game out in the deeper water. Instead of drawing them in, work a little longer out further. In other words, fish slower, with periods of no movement. Or maybe switch to a shakey head or drop shot.
  5. Each bait is repeatedly tested, re-tested, tested, and re-tested again with different softness/firmness and durability factors in place, until the perfect combination is reached to be the most fish-catchingest bait it can be. Big O is extremely particular about them being perfect long before they go to market. If there were a better formula, it would be in the clamshells.
  6. No plastics go in the water from me, unless they are attached to some terminal tackle!
  7. Probably for the better anyway, Mike. Today was pretty windy to be on a river in a canoe.
  8. Maybe she thought you said Quantum. OH!! Just kidding.
  9. I guarantee you know where he fishes.
  10. Well, certainly can't argue with that! Made by the best, to be the best.
  11. Sounds like a good place for the jon boat to me! My brother in law has been fishing the area since he was a kid, and has a few 9's and one over 10 to his credit from the area.
  12. Yeah, man, gonna be perfect weather to be out this weekend! Check back in, and let's hear what you found after you get back. Good luck!!
  13. Actually, I'm spending the weekend up there, and we're gonna do some driving around, see what's going on with the ice, and maybe find some open water. If we do, I'll be getting that permit sooner than later!
  14. We use this thread for all of New England. S. NH just happens to be where most of us live, so this one kinda stayed alive. But yeah, Mainebass is right, you should join us in our monthly bragging rights competition. Goes by length, biggest 5 every month. Sometimes I throw some stuff around for the winners. Anyway, you Maine guys are gonna have to show me around. I'm getting my Maine license here shortly, because my brother in law lives in Buxton, and we're gonna do some fishing up there this year.
  15. Those look great, A-Jay, and will most definitely catch you fish! Perfect for milfoil and other sloppy weeds.
  16. Rage Craw and Lobster are the end all to the craw scene. Best out there, period.
  17. Those days can be tough, man. You'll get back on 'em. Guess I would have worked the lipless a little longer, and a 3/4oz jig out a little deeper.
  18. Neither will I, my friend. Neither will I .
  19. 3/8 sounds a little light in 20mph wind, unless you were using it in 1' water, and if so, you were fishing too shallow anyway. You really have to maintain feel of the bottom, and crawl that jig along, in order to get the most out of it.
  20. Hey, we LOVE Maine down here, buddy, you're always welcome here with us, and I know I speak for quite a few of the guys here, when I say I hope we get to fish together sometime. It was nice meeting you over there at our new BPS, and glad you popped over to say hi! I am actually good friends with Big O, the designer of the Rage Tail baits. I help spread the word about them, because they are the best baits out there, and I love fishing them. You'll hear plenty of stories, and hopefully see plenty more big fish caught on them again this year! If we catch up on the water, I'll let you rummage through my bag, and I can give you some samples and tips on fishing with what we have to offer.
  21. I woulda definitely thrown a jig. Of course, I always throw a jig. Go heavier next time (3/4oz), and hit any points that may be somewhat protected from the incoming wind (like if it was a North wind, fish the North end, not the South windblown end).
  22. Welcome, Lonewolf! You found the right thread for us New Hampshire guys. We got a good bunch of good folks here, and we're all glad to have ya! Now come on, open water!!!
  23. It's clearly a stunt double.
  24. Screw it. Just use pool fun noodles, and go fish away your roof rack sorrows.
