  1. Roofing? Seems much easier than what I've been doing on Friday nights
  2. No, it's just sad. I should have known better. She's been without a car for a few months now. Last one got totaled and she's been sharing her daughters car. The car we bought is a lease trade in with 12k miles and fully loaded. The white one had 17k miles, less options, and was just not quite right to me... I should have just dragged her out of the dealership instead of trying to convince her the black was the way to go
  3. Took the ol'lady to buy a car last night. We've been shopping around for a few weeks now. She said wanted a black car or a white car. Mind you, she has always driven white cars. Narrowed it down to a white 2016 and a black 2017 Nissan Rogue. both with less than 20k mileage. Well, the black one was a much nicer car with less mileage and better equipped. Both cars Nissan certified. The white one was a bit louder and seemed to shift less smoothly than the black one. She didn't like the rims and didn't like the satellite antennae. Certified or not, it just seemed not right. I told her to get the black one or we will continue to shop around because there is something wrong with the white one. We bought the black car. Well, she hates the black car...for no other reason except the color. Arrrrrrrrggggghhhhh.
  4. Fresh seafood is relative. While I love mahi mahi and swordfish and crawfish, I also love walleye, crappie , and bluegill. Deep fried crappie is melt in your mouth delicious and bacon wrapped walleye scallops are to die for.
  5. Well, that was short lived. He emailed me back today and has decided to buy a Pro V
  6. Putting the batteries in the boat this weekend. Got a guy from Wisconsin coming to look at it next week. Fingers crossed he'll buy it so I can start boat shopping.
  7. I was told by one of my suppliers this week to expect delays of up to 4 weeks.
  8. 7 And another one
  9. Ask about additional rebates. BPS offers gift cards up to a grand depending on the boat and they used to(still might) offer a 15% BPS discount card good for 2 years from date of the boat purchase. If you have a BPS credit card, use it to put your $3k down payment. Get the points and then payoff the card with the cash you were going to use for the down.
  10. It was single digits when I woke up and never made it past 25* today BUT we don't have any houses falling into the Tennessee River. There was a video on the local Chicago news yesterday of a home falling 60' down an embankment into the river because of erosion from the flooding. Crazy stuff
  11. Don't know anything about the Motorguide but I wouldn't waste your money on a powerdrive and get a Terrova. Too many known issues with the PD
  12. When I was a kid, my dad would take us to the shows and bring Velveeta cheese. Put a piece of cheese on the fly that they provided and it was guaranteed trout. They use rope to catch them in these parts. Their teeth get tangled in the rope and you can reel them right in to the boat. I have run into schools of them but they have never committed to a lure.
  13. Bigfoot?
  14. You'll regret that when you weigh your, what you think is a record fish and, it comes up 1/16 of an ounce short.
  15. Both fisherman and addicts are liars. Imagine the concocted stories that would be told, about the one that got away. The exaggeration of weights and lengths would be unbelievable.
  16. Not sure I understand what you are asking. If you're looking to go cheap, there are manual anchors available. You mount a bracket to the boat and use a fiberglass shaft to keep you in one place.
  17. Spent today working at my kids house. The ice fishermen were out in abundance as were the snowmobilers. Had to run into town to get some stuff and drove over a bridge that crosses, what they call the "Lower River", on my home water. Both shorelines have ice that goes out about 30 yards. The center of the river is open.
  18. The hulls were made by Crestliner when Genmar owned both companies and another hull mfg who is out of business when they were not. Ranger put in the interior.
  19. Last generations leftovers
  20. Don't use bass for fish tacos. Bluegills are much better. Bass are good for tilling in the garden. They produce big juicy tomatoes.
  21. MK has a 52" shaft bow mount hand control motor. That's the only option I can think of at this time.
