Walleye/Crappie
What time of year? I'd probably fish the flats in cold water ice out/ice up and drops in warm water.

weighting the bow down
You should be able to plane out, back off, and then run 15-20 still trimmed up. One thing I forgot to ask. Do you know if the engine was broke in? The first 10 hours or so during break in, the computer has the motor tuned differently.

Cabelas lifetime warranty cancelled!
And you got $8 out of the deal because of an employees screw up and rather then mention it, you figured you were already ahead, so what's another $8 to screw Johnny Morris out of. Christ, he doesn't need the money....And don't say the social media doesn't matter. You googled it and felt the need to sign up as a member here just to talk about it.

Cabelas lifetime warranty cancelled!
Company's cancel lifetime warranties because people take advantage of them. As far as your other observations, consumers and technology have driven the market change from brick and mortar to online sales. I believe the big box store mentality needs to change or all the big retailers minus those who sell necessities, will go the way of Sears. I think eventually stores like BPS and Cabelas will be nothing more than showrooms with little or no inventory, depending on what the market bears. (Some clothing retailers are experimenting with this idea right not) Or, possibly franchising the satellite stores. Consumers will go in and see, handle, the product(s) they want and order it from a computer kiosk and have the item(s) delivered to the showroom for pick up, or delivered to their home.

Cabelas lifetime warranty cancelled!
A lifetime manufactures warranty is for manufacturers defects over the reasonable life of a given product. Warranty for wear and tear is not, and should not be expected to be covered under any such warranty. All warranty's are subject to manufacturers approval. You were in the wrong for going back to Cabelas trying to warranty a rod that stood the test of time. I believe Cabelas was in the wrong for even considering replacing your fishing rod and they did it to save face from being disrespected on social media. I hope you're proud of yourself.

How long to wait after stocking?
I was fishing the trout opener at a 200 acre lake. Fishing is off limits for a week prior to stocking. A truck pulls up, they stick a large diameter hose on the bank and dump "leftover" trout into the lake. I limited out on 5 casts using a mepps spinner.

weighting the bow down
Trackers sit and ride bow high. Have you tried getting on plane, trimming up and then easing back on the throttle?

Stainless vs Aluminum prop
Probably get you a few on the top end. 4 blades are good for bite 3 blade will be better for speed plus, an aluminum blade can flex causing a loss of performance

Plywood edge protection while loading/unloading from utility trailer
Wallpaper edging is plastic and should be durable enough. I think you can get it 1-1/2" wide

New trolling motor or Power Pole
Picnic poles? That's funny. I use the Talon more for panfishing than I do bass, but that's neither here nor there. I can fish effectively without a shallow water anchor. I choose not to. I can fish effectively with a trolling motor that does not have GPS options. I choose not to.

Transducer Through an Aluminum Hull?
The TSS mounts aren't cheap. Let me ask you this. Is the SI transducer "breaking away" like it's supposed to if you hit something? That was my problem. It would break away from water pressure, not from impact. The spring back mount allows it to break away if I were to hit something, but has enough tension on it to keep it in position below 30mph

The Road To The Super Bowl 2019
And the Eagles did? I don't think there was a more even matched game all year. Were it not for ex Bear Alshon Jeffery, the Eagles would have had there ***** handed to them. Think Gould went 33/34 this season. What kills me is Parkey is making the same money Gould was making as a Bear

BROWN BASS TOOLS ~ Questions & Answers
How good is your forage? How healthy is your habitat? Answer those questions and you should have an idea about how good a place it is. As far as spots and techniques. It's all relative. Just like any other fish species, water clarity, water temp, high/low pressure, wind/no wind, sun/clouds, time of day, will all play a factor.

Transducer Through an Aluminum Hull?
@Scott F I think he got a 2d unit for depth OP, a skimmer transducer for 2d shouldn't lose depth if mounted correctly. Also, I have a HB SI transducer mounted to a spring bracket from TSS. I don't lose depth until above 30mph. You can epoxy a transducr to the inside of the hull, it is done all the time on 'glass hulls. You need to verify the hawkeye will shoot thru the aluminum. Otherwise you can get an Alumaducer made by Vexilar

The Road To The Super Bowl 2019
I'd rather blame the Bears organization for cutting loose the best kicker the franchise ever had

New trolling motor or Power Pole
Spot lock and shallow water anchors do not replace each other. I have both. The boat will still move around with spot lock. The motor just corrects the action without help from the operator. And with spot lock, you always have to have the bow pointed into the current or wind. If you dont, the boat will correct itself and the hull will spin until it settles itself bow forward.
