Heading Back To The Promise Land
I believe the issue you had with the video last time was 00perator error. Good luck guys. Looking forward to lots of pics of DD bass.

Really Ncaa?!?!
His feet left the playing field as soon as Colin stepped out. There was no reversing that.

Quirks
Suck up I guess I cast with 2 hands as well. I don't hold the rod butt with my left hand, just put pressure on it when I'm really trying to get distance.

Pretty Good Day On Lake Delavan
This was my first time there as an adult. I got some info from a couple BR members and some info from a couple other sites. I hadn't even thought of heading up there until I saw John Gillespie was killing them the week before. We got equal numbers fishing the pagoda south to the small bay, and again the docks directly across from there on the west side. If there was no grass, there were no fish.

Pretty Good Day On Lake Delavan
Fishing's been good up there for a month or so. I was up there on Labor Day and had a similar day as you. The pike were literally jumping out of the water at the boat trying to grab baits. We probably caught 30 fish between 3 guys in 6 hours. I've read other reports of guys catching some real good pike and musky. That's a nice fatty in the last pic.

If This Was On Your Graph....
I'd buy a graph I could take a screenshot of. The darker red are the stronger returns which doesn't necessarily mean bigger fish. They are the fish directly under the boat. If you look at the color palette(the color bar at the right of the screen), red is the strongest return and blue is the weakest. The red returns are going to be directly under the boat and hard surfaces. In the first pic, it looks like you went over a bait ball in a weed bed. The second and 3rd pics are a little more difficult. There's something definitely going on around the 6' mark. Whether it's a bigger fish or what's left of of the bait is really hard to tell.

Remembering 9/11
American history was drilled into our heads in grade school. Today, not so much. War movies aren't popular anymore either. How many people today know who Audie Murphy was? But we all know Larry the Cable Guy. At some point in time many years ago something changed. Maybe it was Vietnam. I was in diapers then. War is looked at differently today. We're not out to win anymore. It's like watching the kids soccer game without keeping score, except lives are being destroyed. I teared up when they played Taps at the ceremony yesterday. Today I launched the boat at the Fox Lake American Legion, as I always do. Today I thanked a soldier who was having a smoke outside, as I always do.

Some Cool Waterspout Pics
We had an outbreak of waterspouts today on Lake Michigan that went from Kenosha WI south to the northern Chicago burbs. I was on an inland lake approx. 1/2hr west of Lake Michigan when the front came thru. The wind abruptly changed direction from west to north and the air temp dropped maybe 10* http://www.myfoxchicago.com/story/23418561/severe-weather-warnings-waterspouts-along-shoreline http://youtu.be/Z4mVsa-t3-k

Jokes - Let's Have Some Fun
Speaking of outhouses, I was at a fest last week and the portopotties had warning stickers inside. I never knew drinking or cooking with the blue water was unacceptable.

Placement Of Trailer Bunks ?
The bunks are not there to pretty up the trailer. They are there to support the boat. Where they are in relation to the trailer is directly related to the boat hull. First, is your trailer made for your boat or is it a generic or bought separately? Second, all trailers are not set up the same. My bunks end flush with the back of the frame which happens to be flush with the back of the transom. My trailer is custom to my boat. This is not the case with all trailers. I'm going to assume you've already removed the old bunks. I think your best bet now is to take a measurement from the bow eye to the transom along the hull the best you can. Transfer that measurement to your trailer and add a few inches. Mount the boards. Load the boat. and then mark the bunks to cut off the excess.

2 Week Notice
In my trade, owners take it personal when a quality employee leaves. I left a shop after 8 years. I had worked my way up from pee on to service manager. I was in talks with the boss to buy the shop. We couldn't come to any kind of agreement and he got his 2 weeks notice. You'd thought I killed his dog or something. I've seen a bunch of guys just drop the vans off at the shop over the weekend leaving the keys inside with a note.
