I found some online for 6 bucks. I saw reviews on other sites that say the plano container leaks as well, just not as much.

The few times I've bought it I got the $19.99 tub. I haven't used it for bass, but it's killer for panfish and walleye. The packages dry out if they are accidently left open, which is why I get the tub.

Yes, the DI works best when moving. The 2d works sitting still or moving. As far as the second paragraph, The only thing current you are seeing on the 2d and DI is what is to the far right of the screen. Everything else is history or behind you. So, if the transducer is mounted on the transom, you have already passed over what you are seeing. What WayneP is saying is you need to determine how far you've moved to gauge where what you are looking at on the screen is really located. If you go over a school of bait with fish feeding, you can troll and cast in the general area either circling it or going back and forth across it. Bait is moving anyway. If you go over some structure which may be permanent, here is where gps is your friend. As you pass, mark a waypoint.

There have been gapers delays since we had cars on the road. Our state has signs over the highway telling people traffic conditions. Those signs cause more back ups than adverse conditions. #1 at McD's, #2 at Wendys. Same order for 40 years, and yes I hate those people as well.

Went on a smallie trip, but the weather got the best of us. Fished a total of 8 hours in 3 days. This was a nice surprise.

You jinxed me. Saturday was a wash out and 30mph winds. Sunday was blowing sw at 15-20. We were able to get out til around 1:00. Had the TM on 10 the entire time just to hold in one spot. Batteries died after 5hrs. Fished Larsons Reef, and Monument Shoal without any signs of life, and then took cover from the wind in Little Sturgeon until the front finally pushed thru. Headed over to Snake Island and another boat arrived at the same time. We were maybe 50 yards from them, and they were sitting on top of the underwater part of the island. These 2 guys must have boated 2 dozen good sized bass in an hour both throwing the A rig. My son got a good pike and that was it. TM batteries died and we headed in. Charged the batteries for a couple hours and fished Sister Bay from 5 til 8 with only a couple brown bass shaking off at the boat. Monday had winds blowing nw at 25 with a small craft advisory, so we headed out. I hope the Dells will pan out better.

I beg to differ. Not all 'glass boats are built the same and neither are all aluminum boats. Fear of damaging a glass boat is a valid point, but there are other factors well. Initial cost as well as cost tow own/maintain is normally less. Fishing skinny water is another reason. My Lund will handle most water as well as any 'glass bass boat and will handle rough water better. I won't be spearing any waves. I can throw a 60" musky in my livewell. Can you?

Certain baits stored with other certain baits causes some type of chemical reaction making the rubber or plastic to melt. Do not mix baits in your storage boxes.

It's worth every penny. Mine is on the console. As far as where you put it, IMO your fishing style should dictate that. I'm fishing shallow docks and shorelines most of the time and don't see a benefit. If I fished deep or open water more, I'd definitely have one on the bow.

When you think of your past fishing trips, what is the one that stands out the most? I know I said one but I've got 2. First one, Early to mid 80's my dad grandfather and I would take annual trips to Eagle Lake Ontario to fish for walleye, pike and bass. One trip in particular we hired a guide for the week. All the guide asked for as a tip was that we bring him a case of beer every morning. He finished the case by himself each day by the time we were off the water. We were on fish every day of the trip except one. Hadn't caught a fish all morning and my grandfather hooks into a 29" 9lb walleye. My dad proceeds to tell him if we don't catch anymore fish, were eating it for shore lunch. We ended up getting a few more and the guide made lunch. My dad had the guide hide grandpas trophy and at the end of the day told him we ate it. He was ticked. My dad had the walleye mounted and gave it to my grandfather a year later. Second one. My first trip to KY Lake. I was with my dad and son. We had a banner 4 days on the water catching 50 bass a day with the average being over 2lbs. My son was mocking me on day one because I was crappie fishing with my dad while he was casting cranks for bass. He had already caught a number of bass and I said I'm going for quality, not quantity. Not 5 minutes later, I caught my PB largemouth of 6 1/2lbs on a crappie minnow. Let's hear some stories...
