Are you brand loyal ?
As far as rods and reels, yes. Baits, somewhat. I'm willing to try most anything and I have a garage full of slightly used baits that I bought and didn't like.

Could have been custom ordered. Lund does allow customization. Changing from an outboard to an I/O is a pretty far stretch.

Baron and Tyee both had I/O options at one point in time. The Baron could have also been ordered with a cabin.

- Here's one for All the Carpenters.......
Crippled pipefitter here... A carpenter buddy of mine shot a nail thru his foot nailing down a floor. I couldn't help but laugh imagining him running around in circles.- Post a photo a day!
Get yourself a flattop.- Coping with chronic heart ache ~
Prayers lifted for you and Lynn. Chronic disease is a b***h.- Work and Fishing
I get the guilt trip every time I have to drop him off at home. Papa, can you stay for a little while and play with me? Papa don't have that energy. Kid ran around, yes, ran around the 14 footer for 5 hours last weekend. Told him if he fell in, I'm leaving him and his momma can get another kid to replace him, without ants in his pants. We were done fishing. I pulled up to the dock. He gets out and wants to walk in the water. I told him "Don't walk on the ramp, you're going to fall". Ramp was covered in slime. He falls. Get's up and falls again. Kid is soaked head to toe. I go get the truck and load the boat. He tells me to put the heat on so he can dry. It's 90* outside... I love him so much I would steal him away from his momma. I say that jokingly...or not. Grandma yells at me because I let him suffer the consequences of his actions. It's the only way he will grow up.- Big vs regular size lures?
Conflicting...My PB largemouth was caught while looking for crappie on Kentucky Lake. My PB smallie was caught in Sturgeon Bay. Dad was catching 2 on live bait to my 1 on plastics. I switched over to live and "Boom went the dynamite!" Both the above trips were the best trips of my life. Not because of the PB's but because of the entire trips. Was at the right place at the right time, both times. Very few days in a lifetime one could have 100 bass days. These were my 2. I would also guestimate a 3lb average on both trips.- Big vs regular size lures?
I've caught big bass on larger profile baits somewhat consistently. Caught my PB largemouth (just under 7) on a crappie minnow. Caught my PB smallmouth(6.5) on a large fathead minnow. I vote for live bait! Does that count?- Where are all the Illinois Guys ?
A little late. Last weekend hit up my favorite panfish lake. First cast the little guy got his PB almost 15". We caught (3) 9" gills that made there way to the frying pan and probably 50 gills that were released to fight again.- i read a report Toyota is developing a hitchless trailer!!
Build a better mousetrap??? Build a better bait and the sheep(mice) will come a flocking! Someone posted a comment here years ago that sticks in my mind. Might have been @Redlinerobert but I could be wrong. "You can make a good living selling people what they need. They are not viable at this stage in the game.- Lake Havasu Question
Tom, Would you say pre or post "spring break" would be a better time to go for the redear sunfish?- When Your Electric Car Needs a Battery
They have legs. Let them walk themselves- Been doing it wrong this whole time
Electric vehicle technology has been around as long, possibly longer, as gasoline powered vehicles. They weren't viable then and.... I saw a new EV Hummer driving down the road on my way to the lake on Saturday. Not a bad looking truck. Better looking than the Rivian. I believe the Hummer stickers for around $125K, maybe more. A few things need to happen to make EV's a viable option and I don't see them happening anytime soon. Power grid and range have already been mentioned. Batteries have a shelf life. Lithium batteries are not the answer. Let's forget the fact that mining lithium is not good for the environment. Let's forget disposal of lithium batteries is not good for the environment. Let's forget about charging station wait times and charging stations without enough amperage to charge your particular battery pack. Let's forget if I run out of "juice" during my travels and have to get a tow rather than hitching a ride to a gas station to fill up a gallon jug with petrol. Let's talk about cost to the consumer. Let's say I drop $100K on an EV. Battery life is currently 7-10 years. Battery packs are $20K-$30K from what I understand. I trade it in at 7 years because I want a new vehicle and I know my batteries days are numbered. The battery pack is at the end of it's life. Is that included in the depreciation when I trade it in? So rather than getting $60K on my trade, will I only get $40K because they have to install a new battery pack before selling it? Do I get the $60K and owner #2 buys the vehicle for $70K and now has to drop $20K for a new battery pack? Performance numbers on EV's are fantastic. 100% efficient torque and horsepower at the wheels is a pipe dream for fossil fueled vehicles. Are the benefits worth the sacrifice? I'll let you know once I win the Powerball. My personal opinion is, in it's current state, the EV's functionality is a hybrid between a fossil fueled vehicle and a motorcycle or scooter. Battery technology needs to change drastically for the technology to ever become viable.- Lake Havasu Question
Dad wanted me to look into it. Says there are giant panfish in the lake. My question is, what time of year is best to target giant panfish? Any guide recommendations?- my wife is in Grand Rapids. funny lady
