Mike I love the city and hate it just the same. Without getting into this too much, once I am able, I will be leaving IL. Not because of Chicago but because of the way the state is run overall. My sister left last year for the same reasons.

Great thing about statistics is we can make them show what we want them to show. Chicago alone has more than double the population of all the cities you mentioned, combined. If you were to narrow down the statistics to particular neighborhoods, you would see a huge difference in the per capita numbers. Take the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago. That neighborhood annually experiences 36 violent crimes per 1000 residents. There were 60 homicides in 2021 in a neighborhood of 24,000 which is equivalent to 240 homicides per 100,000 residents. The average lifespan of a male in Chicago can vary up to 30 years depending on what neighborhood that male lives in.

Was never a Chevelle fan but I am a muscle car fan. I went to high school with NHRA legend Tony Schumacher. Funny thing is, his daily driver in Chicago was a Honda Civic 3 door. Had both cars parked in front of his house (Late 80's) and the Honda got stolen. The Honda was worth more to the thieves in parts than the Goat.

Don't have regrets. Don't know your situation. I sold my boat last year and bought an "in between" boat. Originally had some regrets but no more. My home water is the busiest fresh water inland waterway, per acre, in the US. Adapt to the conditions. I fish from 5am to 10am during the summer months and STILL have to deal with the water skiers because even they don't want to deal with the pleasure boaters. It is what it is.

I do a hybrid pork shoulder. Start off on the smoker to add the smoke flavor and finish off in the crockpot with a specific flavored wine. Smoker enthusiasts would say I'm blasphemous. They've never had my pulled pork. I won 2 unofficial bbq competitions with it and everyone who has ever had it says it's the best pork they have ever tasted. Otherwise it gets used for pot roast

People can't drive without texting on 4 wheels. Could you imagine the free for all happening above our heads? It would be raining car and body parts.

If he could reach the pedals, I know he'd try. He starts kindergarten next week. Time flies.

So I ran 2 consecutive tanks of corn and just filled up with 87. First tank was city driving and I already reported the #'s. I put 300 highway miles on this weekend. With a very heavy foot, I got 8.75 mpg and the computer reported 11.1 mpg. Done with corn and I don't trust Ford math.

I imagine cut bait has the potential to carry some nasty bacteria. Regurgitated baitfish, snails, and insects left in a livewell until the next trip are sure to grow some nasty stuff.

First thing I would do is disinfect the livewell. You could have some type of bacteria in there

Real world numbers tell a different story. Warning light came on today. Normally I use 20-22 gal of 87. Put in 26.5 gal. There's no savings.

Where I'm at it is from taxes. Different county, different taxes.

3 days in. Truck computer says 10.4 mpg vs the 11.8 mpg that has been pretty steady the life of the truck. Roughly 49 miles per 35gal tank less than with 87 octane. Loss of 4 gallons or a little over 10%. 35gal @$2.89 for corn = $101.15 35gal @$3.89 for 87 =$136.15 The additional 4 gallons @$2.89 = $11.56 Cost savings on 35 gal with E85 $23.55
