When did you change your avatar pic?
  2. I don't think it's splitting hairs. All the history in the world doesn't make the first run of a product line perfect. R&D and trial and error does. Legend Bass Boats had a similar history with influencing by Champion and they folded after 15 years. Legend sponsored the tournament trail I used to fish and I thought they had a d**n fine marketing plan. Genius to advertise semi-custom boats. Build the boat your way. Sharp looking hulls and they handled well. Turned out, they had some pretty major hull issues. I don't know if that was the cause of them to fold or if it was something else. All of Trackers history and when they came out with the 19ft Pro Team the transoms were cracking. Lund has things mastered. They use the same hull technology for all of their boats with a few tweaks here and there. My Lund experience wasn't perfect. I had paint peeling off the hull after the maiden voyage and it took 2 years and a lot of frustration to get it repainted. That's another story. All I'm saying is the first couple runs of anything are a crap shoot.
  3. Sorry for all the Hank 3. Sounds like his grandpappy.
  4. I'm legally disabled and until I need the card, I won't pull it. LOL And, if I did pull it, no one would believe it. Left arm and hand don't work the way they are supposed to. I still work 50 hours a week... What's wrong with me?
  5. Sometimes you need to pull the handicap card. LOL

Took my dad panfishing on Lake Tichigan WI. The pike were attacking the bluegill as we reeled them in, at probably 50% of the spots we fished for them. Follow the bait. The snot rockets were already present waiting for the opportunity.
  7. What I had to deal with today. The coon has some occasional hygiene issues because of his long hair. I get home from work and he's licking his bottom. Won't stop. I'm trying to prepare walleye and he jumps on the kitchen counter screaming like he's extremely uncomfortable, almost in pain. I get some wet paper towels to help him out. He's screaming even louder. I thought maybe one of the other cats hurt him the way he's screaming. He just didn't like me touching his no no special place. While this is going on, the other 2 cats are circling me like sharks trying to figure out what's going on with the coon. The calico, the coon's sibling, is making some blood curdling noises, I've never heard before, and starts attacking my daughters cat. She was protecting her sibling. She already took a chunk out of my daughters cats face months ago. I'm rushing to get the coon cleaned up and screaming at the other cats to stop them from killing each other. Did I mention, I hate cats?

They are fun though. I had one jump into my boat chasing a swimjig as I lifted it out of the water after a cast.
  9. Vexus doesn't have a lot of history. Their management does.
  10. Alaskan caught pollock. Saw a show years ago, the fish are processed as quickly as they are caught
  11. I'm not a fan of cats. I have a calico, that is the sibling of the coon in the pic. The calico was the first born and the coon mix the runt of the litter. The calico is in her own world. She won't let me pick her up and affection is on her terms. The coon mix is at my side no matter where I'm at or what I am doing. My daughters cat is a PITA.
  12. Yep. Chicken strips. Beer batter much better than buttermilk batter.
  13. We've got 2. Plus I've been taking care of my daughters cat. I've posted this pic before. This is my buddy. 25lbs of coon
  14. I am not a fish. Nor am I a marine biologist. I have to believe that fish sense the impending weather changes and put the feed bag on prior and post panic. Just as humans do.
  15. Made them with Zatarans Beer Batter today. What a difference!
  16. Cool looking cat
  17. Very possible. Very convenient for a freshen up when I'm filleting 40 crappies. or butchering a deer.

  20. Love learning about history. Haven't yet fished Mendota. I understand it is the best lake for bass on the Madison Chain. We have a place in the Upper Dells just north of their. Side imaging allowed me to see some history of when loggers used the river to transport cut trees. Who knows, maybe some of those logs were canoes. There are Indian carvings in the sandstone(unfortunately there is graffiti as well) The home we have is over 100 years old. We found a sheet of newspaper when we ripped out the maple floors, dated 1910. I want to believe the guy who installed the floors left it there as a time capsule. The home, as I understand it, was an "ice house" business. It sits 50 yards off the water. They would cut ice blocks and sell them to the railroad, used for refrigerated transport. Further south on the river on Lake Wisconsin, there are remnants of a car, I'm guessing from the 1920's, scattered by the railroad bridge.
