I bought 3 bags of Reeses PB cups. Ate 2-1/2 prior to Halloween. Brought my grandson 3 PB cups on Halloween and took him trick or treating. Killed the last of them tonight.

How much was it worth to him?

The Predator was stored outside about 10 minutes away from my house. Never failed that I would take it in for winterization mid November and would pick it up and bring back to storage and it was 10* and windy outside. Then I'd curse while screwing around pulling the batteries and putting the tarps on it. I kinda miss those days.

The extent of my social media is BR and a couple of trade forums. I've been banned from most of the rest and have no desire to get on FB or Twitter or the likes. I'm not dependent on social media for monetary or emotional fulfillment. That being said, I have received compensation peddling on trade forums and an "Atta boy!" occasionally on a fishing forum. I can live with that.

Life is what happens when you've made other plans. I've been fishing for 50 years and I'm 52. Things change I fished every weekend from ice out to ice up for many many years. I'm on hold right now. Last 2 years I get out maybe 10x a year at best. I have a grandson, without a father, I need to tend to and, my own dad going thru health issues. I'm fortunate I can still fish with both...but both prove to be difficult. Real thing is, it's a sad thing, I had a chance to go fishing alone this past weekend and I didn't. Grandson is sick. Dad is sick. slonezp is worried more about the grandson and dad than he is himself. This too shall pass.

Report the truth and let the audience decide. Unfortunately we give more weight to opinion than we do truth. My niece is a journalist in Chicago. I won't say what her political leanings are but they are opposite of mine. Her opinions and her lifestyle bear no weight on how much I love her. That being said. Her regular gig is opinion pieces. Opinions are not news, they are, at best, entertainment. At worst, believed to be truth. She freelances and her freelance work is factual, as far as how current the facts are. As a journalist, she needs her opinion pieces to be viewed as fact. It's what pays the bills.

Got my CCL 3 or 4 years ago. Haven't been called to jury duty since many years prior. We don't need to play specifics here. My families safety trumps everything.

Maybe we are the bad co-workers. Worked alone my entire life. Career ending injury took me out of the trades and into the office. It's extremely difficult to transition worlds. My first job after getting hurt was trade related, in an office, working with children. By children I mean new college grads. Also worked with a bunch of two faced scum corporate folks. By scum, I mean charging companies for work that was never done and/or double charging those same companies. The HR girls hated me and, being legally disabled, I was untouchable. When I had my "Exit" interview LOL what's that? Never heard of it. The question was "What made you decide to leave***? My answer was "If your dog takes a crap in your kitchen, do you pick it up and throw it out or, pick it up and move it to your living room? You people move the crap from department to department rather than throwing it in the trash. The guy I gave my exit interview to quit shortly after I did. I'm still in contact with 3 people from the company. 1 fisherman I met working there who, is my sons age, and 2 guys I knew and I got the jobs for them. Nothing against any of them. I just hold higher values.

Candy....don't get many trick or treaters anymore at home. Frickin customers though... I buy packaged cheese and crackers that I leave on the counter for my customers. 27 pieces(x2). I replenish them every 2-3 weeks. I bought a 155 piece candy bag and it lasted 4 days on the counter. You people are a bunch of animals.

That's how I feel every day

I have no intentions of carrying in a courthouse, or being in one. My place of employment does not allow me to carry. I specifically asked this question after I had to take required training on what to do in case of a robbery. The reason I was given, and I don't know how legit it is, nor does it matter, his wife is the HR dept. The owner of the company is afraid one of his employees will shoot him. Mind you, we had a company function in September where, I sat next to, and conversed with, both the company owner and his wife for hours. The .380 in my pocket never jumped out and shot either one of them, nor would it. The .380 has no feelings. It's inanimate. I also do not work anywhere near the owner. I'm in a different city. If I see him more than a couple times a year, that would be a lot. I think it's a liability issue for them. It's also a liability issue for them if I were to get injured or dead in a robbery. I get it. Probably the lesser of 2 evils considering that I live in IL and our gun laws are friendly to no one.

I'm hosting a class tomorrow at my store afterhours. The intent is to obviously, generate sales, first and foremost. An equal intention is to educate my customers. I make this statement reluctantly but, let's face it, we live in a selfish world. If I can make money off my customers and my customers can make money off their customers because of their education.... My coworker/helper made a comment that when he worked for another company, they paid him for the after hours classes. I told him he doesn't need to stick around if he doesn't want to, he's not getting paid. I wouldn't hold it against him if he did not. He gets paid hourly. his pay stays the same year round as long as he punches in and out when he's supposed to. His hourly rate is more than mine. His paycheck is guaranteed. I work on commission. My pay fluctuates month to month. As much as I need the help, I'd go back working solo and overwhelmed, rather than take a pay cut. Nothing against him. Some people just have more of a will to survive. I am one of those people.
